Street art like this doesn’t just decorate a wall, it tells Khmer stories, softens the concrete and makes the city feel human. Imagine if all the little alleys around Pub Street became an open-air gallery – murals by Cambodian artists, shady trees, benches, free water-refill stations… travellers wandering through, discovering scenes from our history, and at the end of the alley a small cultural space or even an ice-cream shop as a “reward”.

Right now many of those alleys feel a bit wasted, even though Pub Street has such beautiful old buildings. They could be powerful assets to show a different, more authentic side of Cambodia. This is just my personal perspective, not speaking for anyone else and with no intention to criticise.

Would you like to see more street art and green corners like this all around Siem Reap? 🇰🇭

This was my first time in my guiding career watching sunset from the top of Prasat Thom in Koh Ker, and honestly, it felt like heaven. 🌅

Koh Ker was the 10th-century capital of the Khmer Empire, hidden deep in the forest, with dozens of temples scattered around. Prasat Thom is the main temple, built as a giant pyramid rising above the jungle. Standing on top this temple is one of those moments that reminds me why I chose this job.

I’m so grateful my work keeps bringing me back to corners of Cambodia like this. 🇰🇭✨
