Warners Group Publications Plc Warners is a family-run firm that has been trading for more than 80 years. It is a specialist magazine publisher and printers based in Bourne, Lincolnshire.

The company was founded as a newsagent by the late Lorenzo Warner in 1926 and moved into printing in the 1960s and specialist magazine publishing in the late 1980s. Warners Group Publications plc, has a turnover of more than £20m a year, employs more than 170 staff and publishes more than 30 magazine titles in a broad range of both consumer and B2B markets. It also provides a full range of publish

ing services across a variety of contract titles. The exhibition arm of the business organises a range of complementary events in the outdoor leisure and hobby markets. Our motorhome events are the leading shows in the outdoor market and run in association with MMM magazine, the UK’s leading motorhome magazine. Our sister company Warners Midlands plc is a high-quality magazine, brochure and catalogue printer that specialises in the short to medium run market. It caters for print runs of anywhere from 1,000 up to 500,000. Today, it employs 300 staff and has a turnover of more than £30 million a year. Its fully equipped plant can handle just about every aspect of the magazine and brochure printing process from design through to mailing and dispatch.

This week, we attended The Audiencers Festival, a standout event in the publishing and media calendar that continues to inspire and challenge thinking around audience growth, engagement, and retention.

A big thank you to Madeleine White and Marion Wyss for creating such a valuable space for knowledge-sharing and connection.

Here are some key takeaways that really resonated with us, and with the publishers we support every day:

🔸Belonging drives behaviour. Audiences who feel part of a community are more likely to participate, share, and stay loyal.

🔸Make it easy to leave, and easy to return. Cancellation processes should be simple; trust brings people back.

🔸Test often. The only way to truly learn is by experimenting.

🔸Content should come with a promise, and deliver on it.

🔸Focus on experience. A better customer journey leads to higher conversions and increased revenue.

🔸Don’t stop at sign-up. Reinforce your value throughout the customer lifecycle.

🔸Guide users with care. Small nudges on your website can have a big impact on habit-building and engagement.
