We recently shared that we’d be welcoming a new photographer to the studio… and today, we’re so proud to officially introduce Stuart Ovenden 👏

With 15 years of experience behind the lens, Stuart is a seasoned food and lifestyle photographer who brings a rare creative depth to every project. Formerly Deputy Art Editor at BBC Good Food Magazine, he’s worked on both sides of the creative process - from art direction to hands-on photography - and has led his own studio in South West London for over a decade, collaborating with major supermarkets and writing two cookbooks along the way.

Now, he’s bringing all that talent to Nature Synergies Studio. Stuart’s refined eye, intentional approach, and ability to craft food stories with both stills and stop-motion make him an exciting part of our growing team. We can’t wait to see the stories he’ll help us bring to life.

It’s been a little quiet here because we’ve been busy behind the scenes - working with our first clients, refining our services, and welcoming a new creative into the fold.

From the very beginning, we’ve had a clear vision for Nature Synergies Studio - not only to create beautiful work but to nurture a team of photographers and creatives who share our passion for culinary storytelling. We started this journey with Aggie, while exploring collaborations with some talented young and some experienced photographers, and we now have the official confirmation of our second professional photographer in the team.

Soon, we’ll be introducing him and his work! He brings a unique skill set and incredible experience - his curriculum is nothing short of amazing. Stay tuned - he might just be the perfect photographer to capture your story crafted by our studio.

Quick side note - I’m just one person managing a lot behind the scenes, and I’d love for our social media to reflect more of what we do and how we work. So if you know a social media wizard, send them my way! 😉

These images hold a quiet kind of beauty - the kind that reminds us that something small, overlooked, and dried by time still carries the power to grow.

In this basket: dill seeds, once soft and green, now dried and sculptural. Captured through the lens, they become more than a detail - they become a story about life cycles, slowness, and intention.

This is why we photograph food and nature, not just for how it looks, but for what it carries: a feeling, a legacy, a truth we often forget.

At the studio, we believe in capturing food not as decoration, but as something meaningful. Even the smallest seed has a story.

Meet Aggie Banks — Our Lead Photographer at Nature Synergies Studio
Based on the South West Coast, Aggie is one of the few professional photographers in the region solely dedicated to food and drink photography.

With a BA in Commercial Photography from Arts University Bournemouth and a strong background in hospitality and studio work, Aggie brings a rare blend of technical precision and visual instinct. Her passion lies in capturing the emotional and sensory layers of food, from the beauty of ingredients to the mood around the table.

✨ A true believer that we eat with our eyes first, Aggie creates work that brings food to life — bold, craveable, and full of story!

At Nature Synergies Studio, she’s not just behind the camera, Aggie shapes the creative direction of our shoots, ensuring every image reflects our studio’s identity and standards.

She also mentors our resident photographers, helping them refine their skills in food photography and align with the studio’s visual style.

For those just landing here, Welcome! 
I’m not sure I’ve ever officially introduced myself like this… so here goes.

I’m Patricia, founder and creative director of Nature Synergies Studio.
I’ve spent the past few years deep in the food world: cooking, teaching, hosting, and creating a space.
And now, that space and I have stepped fully into a new chapter, one where food, people, and purpose still come together and now, visuals too. Because stories need to be seen and shared.

Honestly? I never imagined we’d be here so soon.

When I opened the kitchen studio, the vision was rooted in food, creativity, and meaningful experiences. I thought food photography might come later — maybe at the end of this year?
But sometimes, life has other plans.

Little by little, the visual side started pulling me in. Then came the right people, the right energy, the right spark. Before I knew it, I was leading a studio not just focused on food, but on how it’s seen, felt, and shared.

Nature Synergies Studio is now officially launched 🙌
We’re a chef-led food and visual production space built with intention, and made to reflect food, people, and stories as they truly are, including our own. And I get to bring my experience not just to the creative work, but to building a business that brings it all together.

This has been a long time coming — a lot of quiet work, pulling pieces together. And it was worth the wait.

I’m so proud to officially launch Nature Synergies Studio — a chef-led food and visual production studio based in Bournemouth, Dorset, creating bold, story-driven content for food brands, restaurants, agencies, and publishers.
