Summer may be coming to an end, but these spots are still on my mind. We are so lucky to live in Bournemouth, there are so many wonderful venues with easy access to the beach, the forest and so much more ✨️🌊🐚🌿🐌

📍 Matcha Thing Matcha Thing
Bath, Somerset

I've been feeling quite poorly recently 😕 for those that don't know, we are currently expecting our second little precious bean... but my oh my is this pregnancy harder than my first. So I've been a little quieter than usual whilst we focus on rest 🌸🦋

But I thought I'd do a little post on my recent visit to this amazingggg matcha spot. I absolutely love matcha, before the hype, before it was cool because matcha is deep seated with Asian culture and I honestly LOVE the taste 🌱 and I have been drinking a lot, especially during my pregnancy as it contains a much lower caffeine content and is a much healthier alternative to coffee.

So when my sister recommened this spot because of the quality and process of how they put together their drinks, interior ran there. Well ran in the context of a heavily pregnant woman running 🥹

I was really impressed, thry use ceremonial grade matcha from Japan and the variety is incredible! I opted for the Cookie Butter Matcha Latte 🍪🌱
it was sweet, buttery and comforting yet really refreshing!

If you're in the area and are an avid matcha drinker or have never tried it before, this is the place to visit ✨️

A very scrumptious brunch (my favourite meal.of the day 🥐🍓) at this cute café in the heart of Bath.

I went to visit my sister and she showed us one of her favourite local spots and its easy to see why!

A very relaxed, dog friendly cafe serving incredible food along with really friendly service 💗

We opted for -

Croque-Monsieur with a cheeky side of sausage

Smoked Salmon topped Hash Brown, Garlic and Chive Sour Cream with a Rocket, Radish and
Pomegranate Salad

Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper & Honey Whipped Cream Cheese on toasted Sourdough

The Chorizo Sourdough which was mine, was seriously good. I mean like lick your plate good 👏🏽✨️

Then as you walk through the café, you're greeted with an irresistible selection of baked goods on display - so I obviously took some treats home 🥐🍰🍪🍩

If you're ever in Bath, I highly recommend this place 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Introducing the newly open Indi's in Bournemouth ✨️

An award winning, tapas style Indian street food restaurant and it has seriously impressed me.
This unique style of presenting classic dishes and authentic street food favourites was an absolute delight to experience.

Indi's has been a local legend, with their Westbourne branch being open for 20+ years.
But the new Bournemouth venue has reinvented itself with a beautiful, elevated feel. The decor is stunning and the food, although a different style is absolutely delicious 🇮🇳🤌🏽✨️

We opted for -

Classic Poppadoms to start

Chicken Lollipops
Chilli Prawns
Pani Puri
Cheesy Garlic Naan Bites

Followed by -

Lamb Chops
Classic Butter Chicken
Gun Powder Potatoes
Peshwari Naan
Pilau Rice

We really went for a variety as everything sounded so good!

My favourite dishes had to be the Chilli Prawns, the Lamb Chops (incredibly succulant, and smokey from the charcoal grill. Packed with flavour) and the Gun Powder Potatoes (soft, pillowy and the spices and caramalised onions created a warm, comforting taste) 🔥

Overall a fantastic experience and a restaurant I highly recommend visiting. I honestly cannot wait to go back!

A historic, yet stylish gastropub based in the heart of Parkstone, Poole. Full of charm and comfort, serving pub classics and hearty Sunday roasts ✨️

Its great for families or a catch up with friends, and it's also dog friendly yay!

We were kindly invited to a lovely evening meal. We opted for -

Bread & Blasamic to nibble on 🥖

For Starters -

Spicy Lamb Meatballs 🐑
H&W Fried Chicken 🐔
Chorizo, Pickled Pineapple & Hot Honey (my firm favourite!) 🍍
Patatas Bravas 🥔

For Mains -
Blackened Harissa Flat-iron Chicken
Duck Leg Confit (special menu)

We were too full to go for pudding, the portions sizes are so generous! There are always great offers on at The Grasshopper whether it's lunch, dinner or cocktails - the choices are endless!

For a go to local pub, with good vibes, good food and suitable for any occasion, this is the place!

I had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem within the Green House Hotel courtesy of Dorset Digital Storytellers - South Coast Creators

An award winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant, where the food is unforgettable. The balance of flavours, the presentation, the menu options are exquisite. Andy Hilton and his team of chefs pour their passion into each dish and it shows in every single bite ✨️

We opted for -

Sticky Pressed Lamb Belly, Watermelon, Cranborne Feta, Garden Mint 🍉

I absolutely loved this dish. A summery balance of flavours with a succulent, sticky lamb belly which was divine!

Gin Cured Mackerel, Sweet and Sour
Cucumber and Apple Salad, Dill and Buttermilk 🍏

For Mains -

Chicken Kiev with Chive and Confit Garlic
Butter, Lemon and Herb Mash, Chicken and
Preserved Lemon Sauce 🐔

Creedy Carver Duck Breast, Smoked Duck,
Orange and Cherry Croquette, Confit Leg, Chicory 🦆

This was outstanding. I love duck and this was up there with one of my favourite duck dishes ever. It was smokey, sweet, the charred chicory was the perfect addition. I would probably order it again on my next visit because I can't stop thinking about it!

For Dessert -

Banoffee Tart, Peanut Praline, Banana Ice Cream

Baked Custard Cream Cheesecake, Stewed New Forest Strawberries, Strawberry Ripple Ice Cream

I highly recommend a visit here if you've not been before. It was a truly delightful experience and I really enjoyed thr food - I cannot wait to visit again!
