🖤 A quick community update!

Thank you to everyone who reached out over the last week. I'm now back from a much-needed family holiday and already working through the mountain of admin, messages, and behind-the-scenes tasks that keep Obsidian D&D running. 🎲

You may notice social posts, replies, and a few bits of admin are slightly delayed or a little out of sync while I catch up.

🫜 Fun Fact: Lisa has 20 D20s tattooed on her... and a turnip. Yes, really. The turnip was homage to there very first D&D character Turnip.

Lisa joined Obsidian D&D just over a year ago as a player at Madz's table and quickly caught the D&D bug. Since then she's become known throughout the community for her incredible miniature painting, kind heart, and community-driven spirit.

When we started growing into Poole, Lisa was one of the people pushing that expansion forward and became the first DM to step up at Hidden Hangout. Whether she's supporting players, helping venues, painting amazing minis, or running games, she's always there helping make the community a welcoming place for everyone.

We're incredibly lucky to have Lisa on the team, and a huge part of our success in Poole is thanks to the hard work she puts in behind the scenes.

🎲 COMMUNITY QUESTION 🎲
Is the DM always right?
The rules say the DM has the final say at the table, but does that mean they're always correct?
🤔 Should players challenge rulings? 📖 Is rules knowledge more important than table flow? 🎭 What happens when the DM makes a mistake? ⚖️ Is there a difference between being "right" and having the final decision?
We've all been there — a rule gets forgotten, a spell gets misread, or someone discovers three sessions later that something wasn't run correctly.
So where do you stand?

Last year we marched, rolled dice, handed out flyers, met amazing people, and had an absolute blast.
This year we're doing it all again! 🏳️‍🌈✨
Obsidian D&D will be joining the Bournemouth Pride Parade on 11th July, celebrating the wonderful, diverse, and welcoming community we've built together.
Whether you're a player, DM, volunteer, ally, or just fancy walking alongside a group of nerds armed with dice and questionable decision-making skills, we'd love to have you join us!
