Neuschwanstein Castle 🏰✨

One of Germany’s most famous castles, Schloss Neuschwanstein looks like something straight out of a fairytale. Built in the 19th century for King Ludwig II of Bavaria, it sits dramatically above the village of Hohenschwangau, surrounded by the Alps.

It’s also said to have inspired the look of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. 👑

For our travels, this was definitely one of those “wow, we’re actually here!” moments — mountain scenery, an incredible castle and a pretty spectacular backdrop. 🏔️🩷🧡

What a beautiful little corner of Germany!🩷🧡
Füssen sits right on the edge of the Alps, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, turquoise lakes and pretty Bavarian streets.

We started The from Füssen and will work our way back up through Germany.

We loved wandering around the old town, soaking up the traditional buildings and taking in those incredible views.

It’s one of those places where everywhere you look feels like a postcard! 📸

Dramatic mountains, winding roads, crystal-clear lakes and views that honestly don’t look real! 😍

This has to be one of the highlights of our trip. We’ve never seen mountains like it and every one has you in awe and open mouthed with wow after wow 😮

Dolomites in Betty Brew has been an absolute dream every corner bringing another jaw dropping view. 🏔️🚐

Adventure, fresh mountain air and scenes that look like a movie set… what more could we ask for? ☕️🩷🧡

🇦🇹✨ Ainet, a little slice of Austrian heaven 🏔️

Tucked away in the beautiful East Tyrol region of Austria, Ainet is one of those places that feels like you’ve stumbled across a hidden gem. 🌲🏔️

Surrounded by dramatic mountains, green valleys and the most incredible scenery, it’s the perfect place to slow down, breathe in that fresh mountain air and just enjoy being outdoors.🩷🧡

We loved the peacefulness of this little Austrian village that we stumbled on and far enough away from the busy tourist spots, but with some seriously spectacular scenery right on our doorstep.

We stopped at a Guesthouse/Restaurant called Aineterhof, that is on Park4night and costs €15 a night or you can buy a drink or meal and stay.
The host was a lovely man and very accommodating with Percy.

We opted to buy food and drink and it wasn’t far to stumble back to the camper with full bellies! 🥴

Sometimes the best places on a road trip are the ones you never really planned for. 🇦🇹🚐

October 2024 we visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York. 🕊️🇺🇸

It’s difficult to put into words what it feels like to stand in a place where so much tragedy unfolded. Seeing the names of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives.

The memorial pools, built where the Twin Towers once stood, are peaceful and beautiful, but there is an overwhelming sense of sadness and remembrance.

We left feeling incredibly reflective. Whatever our memories of that day may be, visiting 9/11 is a powerful reminder of the fragility of life, the importance of kindness, and the lasting impact that one day can have on the world.

Today, we remember them. 🕊️

🏔️🚐 DRIVING THROUGH THE DOLOMITES 🇮🇹

One of those drives where you keep saying… “WOW!” 😍

Winding mountain roads, towering limestone peaks, hairpin bends and scenery that just gets better around every corner. 🏔️🛣️

The Dolomites… you really are something else. 🇮🇹🏔️
