While reading Matthew 2:13, a question crossed my mind: Why did God send an angel to warn Joseph to take baby Jesus to Egypt? Why protect someone who is God Himself?

Jesus was fully God and fully human. He entered our world as a baby, accepting the care of Mary and Joseph. His need for their care did not diminish His divinity.

God could have stopped Herod instantly, yet He chose to protect Jesus through a warning and Joseph’s obedience.

This reminded me that God’s protection can come through instructions we must act on. Sometimes, faith means moving when God says move. Taking practical steps does not mean we lack faith.

Joseph took the child to safety, and God’s purpose continued to unfold. Jesus would give His life willingly at the appointed time.

May we never become so focused on expecting a miracle that we overlook the guidance God has already given us. πŸ™

Prayer: Lord, give me a listening heart and the wisdom to recognise Your guidance. Help me obey You, even when I do not fully understand. In Jesus’ name, amen. ❀️

God can use anyone who is willing to yield to Him. Your past does not define your future.

Rahab had a choice. She recognised an opportunity to trust God and acted on it. God spared her and her family, and she became part of the family line through which our Lord Jesus Christ was born. ❀️

Come to God today, regardless of who you are or what your past looks like. Surrender your life to Him and watch Him make something beautiful out of it.

The same place that witnessed your tears will witness your fruitfulness. God will cause you to flourish, prosper and testifyβ€”even in the land of your affliction. Amen! πŸ™πŸΎ
