I mentioned yesterday on my stories that Banks is feeling the best he’s ever felt right now. I’m sure the Gastro Premier has been a big part of keeping him happy and comfortable since his ulcer treatment… but honestly, I think Enzo’s arrival 💙 has been just as influential.

They’re inseparable. Since Enzo came, Banks is so much calmer & content, more relaxed, and far less spooky. I feel it in his ridden work/results and I see it when he’s at home.
He’s lying down more than I’ve ever seen, it’s almost like a weight’s been lifted. No more pressure to be “top dog” or keep constant watch over his little dinklebum mate… they now share that workload!!

They say two’s company and three’s a crowd, but not with these guys, these three musketeers are happiest when they’re all together 🥰

When his ears and expression mean more than the fact he bossed a 24 dressage at the National Champs 🥰

Obvs absolutely elated at that score, but mostly just beaming that he felt on his best form all day. He was so so relaxed in dressage, the test was foot perfect and well deserving of a 24, the XC was bold and challenging and he dragged me into every single fence ears pricked and eager to take them on.

Without being too dramatic I’ve honestly been suffering PTSD from this event last year… and have been so so worried about travelling him any form of distance since and basically wrapping him up in cotton wool for the fear of upsetting his gut. Hence he hasn’t left the county for over a year and hasn’t done a single BE this season.

But this result and his enjoyment of today has proved to me he most definitely still wants to attend all zee pony party’s and still strives to deliver his very best even when against the best of the best at championship level 💙
