Call it what you like but at the end of the day giving in to the idea you need another qualification, more experience first or just another hot minute to lose weight before you leap is costing you.

You feel like you’re making progress but actually other people with half the experience would jump at the opportunity you’re still thinking about.

You have what it takes already but you don’t have the audacity to go for it just in case people judge you for making a move.

They aren’t paying your bills and you know that you’d be a perfect for that opportunity.

This is why I created the Audacity, a space for women to burn down the patriarchal rules keeping them small and give themselves permission to step up and lead.

The amount of profit that diet companies are making is wild considering what a non issue this is.

I’ve been taught to control and shrink this body all my life.

At 6 years old I knew my body was ‘too big’

And dieting was my entire personality for a very long time, 2 decades to be precise

And yet here I am, living, moving my body, not bingeing, not eating in a disordered way and yet this is apparently the ‘worst’ version of me society has ever witnessed

And yet I had the time of my life and in comparison to the last time I was here it was so freeing to not carry the expectation of pre holiday dieting
Hyper vigilance whilst away and coming back and declaring my next fad to follow.

That’s a massive mental load I’m not longer dancing with.

Just simply back from my holiday, back to business, back to living my life.

Love this for me, want this for you too.

The patriarchy already has you carrying the mental load so let’s take a load off.

Get yourself into the next round of Unfiltered & Unf*ckwithabke where shrinking is no longer your identity.

Women aren’t born self-conscious, we’re taught to be.

We don’t harshly judge our bodies because we’re vain or silly, we’ve been trained to do it.

It’s not that women are obsessed with how we look, we’ve been told our value depends on it.

We’re not more critical of ourselves by nature, we’ve just been conditioned to believe we’re never quite enough.

It’s not personal.
It’s systemic.
It’s by design.

You call that pang of body shame motivation

But I call it grief

Whether it shows up as sadness, frustration or full blown anger for the body you wanted this summer, it’s grief for the thin fantasy you’ve been holding on to for years.

Let’s face it, the pressure to be less has never been louder but you’re not here to stop living your life simply because you don’t fit a certain size or expectation.

You get to be in the photos, the moment, the without beating yourself up for not shrinking.

You don’t owe the world a smaller body before you get to join in!

We all have photos we look back on and wonder why we were so critical of ourselves at the time

But never underestimate how powerful this stuff is, the pressure to be continuously shrinking or changing ourselves for the ‘glow up’ is constant

Erasing ourselves from the picture serves no one

It doesn’t help your clients find you online if they can’t see you

It doesn’t help your family when in years tk come they want to look back at memories with YOU in it

This summer inside The Audacity we are going to be focused on staying visible this summer both in business and with our families

This is a business membership like no the where you get to in ravel the grip the patriarchy has on you and stop it leaking into your business and costing you money

This ‘news’ story about Kent council removing transgender related books from the shelves is actually just a way for Reform to make sure everyone knows exactly who they care about and who they don’t.

This is not keeping our kids safe, this is making sure they are erased unless they fit a certain narrative

I’m looking to guest on some podcasts this year

Ideally ones that speak to women running businesses.

Do you have an audience full of business women who are scaling and ready for a conversation they might not have had before?

I love talking about confidence as a business strategy, body image as a visibility block, and what happens when perimenopause hits and changes your body overnight.
