Got a cough that won’t go? An ache that doesn’t feel right? Don’t ignore it.

It was Mrs Motorhome Matt who pushed me to get checked. That led to the GP… then A&E… then the angiogram that saved my life.

Even when I was discharged, I knew something was still wrong.
Now I’m having major heart surgery.

Anxiety, fear, guilt... the hardest bit was admitting I needed to slow down.

I really didn’t expect to hear the words “triple heart bypass.”
It was a shock, and still is, if I’m honest.
But it’s time to face it, fix it, and come out the other side stronger.

I’ve not really talked about how ill I’ve been. This is me being honest, and hopefully encouraging you to do the same if something doesn’t feel right.
