🎉 Huge congratulations to Five Mile Films’ very own Celia Qu on being named as one of Broadcast Magazine 2025 Hot Shots! 🌟

Before finding her passion in the edit suite, Celia wore many hats — from corporate videographer to DIT and camera op — working with top indies like Nutopia, Silverback Films, and Plimsoll 🎥

She joined us as an edit assistant on The Dog House (Series 6), sharpened her skills through the ScreenSkills Unscripted Junior Editing scheme, and quickly rose to become a junior editor on the BBC’s Lucan 🎞️

Celia also launched and led The Dog House’s YouTube channel, cutting over 50 short films. Thanks to her sharp storytelling and digital know-how, the channel quickly racked up views — with some edits reaching millions on Instagram and TikTok 🐾

We’re so proud to see her recognised as part of the 2025 Emerging Talent initiative, which seeks out the brightest and most promising individuals from across the television industry. Well deserved, Celia! 👏 🎬
