The British Airways Concorde was famous for crossing the Atlantic faster than the speed of sound. Passengers could fly from London to New York in under 3 hours, land at a local time earlier than when they took off, and watch the curvature of the Earth at 60,000 feet.

Friction at Mach 2 got so hot that the plane actually stretched up to 10 inches longer in mid-air.

Only 20 were ever built, making flying it so exclusive that there were officially fewer Concorde pilots in history than NASA astronauts. It had military-style afterburners and a nose that pointed downward during landing just so the pilots could see the runway.

Proof that no matter how fast you travel, you’re never too far away from a DJ.

Cuban-born crate-digger , the selector unearthing forgotten sounds from across the globe, joined us at to reflect on how music travels across borders 🔊

Before digital downloads or streaming, physical vinyl was one of the few ways music could cross oceans, carried by people moving bringing them to different dancefloors around the world.

During the 1960s and 70s military missions sent Cuban soldiers to Angola, Cabo Verde, and Mozambique - and they’d bring African vinyl back home in their bags. That’s how all this incredible, forgotten music ended up in Cuba in the first place.

While Cami doesn’t make her own tracks yet, she shared how much she wants to dive into music production by sampling and chopping up those rare finds. Her sets are built on storytelling, digging through hidden records and bringing Latin American and Caribbean rhythms back to life on modern dancefloors.

Legendary dub pioneer , the master mix engineer behind some of reggae’s most iconic sounds, joined us at to reflect on the music industry’s past and future. 🔊⚡️

In the late 70s and 80s, Jamaican artists were churning out hit after hit, but major corporate record labels kept almost all the royalties through bad contracts and outright exploitation.

Scientist experienced this firsthand, fighting a massive 2003 legal battle against Greensleeves Records. The label had licensed tracks from his iconic 1981 album, Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires, to Rockstar Games for the Grand Theft Auto III soundtrack-without asking for his consent or paying him royalties.

He ultimately lost the lawsuit on a “work for hire” technicality, and the label later went as far as reissuing his classic albums with his name and face completely removed from the cover art. This is exactly why he doesn’t hold back in our interview, directly calling out label bosses like Chris Blackwell and Chris Cracknell for treating artists this way.

Despite the bitter history, Scientist remains optimistic about the future. He shared how much he loves seeing young, modern artists use technology to release music independently, entirely bypassing the middleman labels and retaining ownership of their art.

As we come to the end of the summer, it’s time to reflect on a festival that really meant a lot to us and is truly the mark that kicks off summer for many Festival.

As event season begins alongside the first Pangea show tomorrow night, we thought it was a good time to reminisce on such an unforgettable experience…

We’ve compiled our review, community feedback plus interviews with Artist & Community Manager as well as over 60 free ticket holders, Fee and Wilf on their experience of this years festival.

It’s the kind of weekend where you leave wishing you’d dabbled in even more of the activities, having spent so much time dancing to the amazing selection of music from around the globe. But beyond the stages was a playground of creative, mindful, and beautifully chaotic spaces.
