Rob Ótico

Rob Ótico Rob Ótico started off as a hard trance and techno DJ playing across the south of the UK.

Progressive, Techno and Psytrance DJ
🐸 Resident with Tribe of Frog ES 🐸
Resident with Data Transmission
Resident with TranceMission Radio
Resident with Omnium Beats In the mid 2000's he focused solely on techno and progressive house before being invovled win a serious accident in 2004 resulting in the amputation of his right leg above the knee. In 2018 he got back into DJing and since then he has

held several residencies in Bristol and also for Tribe of Frog in Spain. He also brought his own unique direction into a one off Emotive event where he supported John 00 Fleming. Having been wanting to change name for a while, but unsure of what to change it to - a young boy walking with his father saw Rob walking with his prosthetic leg and shouted "Papa, Papa... Robotico, Robotico".... and so, the name Rob Ótico was born.

Yet another unbelievable year at . I'm always amazed at how much effort goes into improving the festival every year. From upgrading the roads, expanding the Pumpui, to the little extra bits of art everywhere, it's amazing.

Last year unfortunately there was a death caused by someone jumping into the fire, but what Ozora did this year to enclose the fire is just a thing of beauty and a fitting tribute to the lad who unfortunately passed. To take something so terrible, and yet turn it into something so beautiful just shows how much the organisers actually care about our experience.

It was so good to connect with my Hungarian family on the dancefloor once again, absolutely love our front left family ❤️❤️ and to connect with people such as Steve from OOOD, Simon from Banyatti and Tristan just added to the experience.

I don't normally take that many photos here because the signal is so patchy, I tend to completely disconnect from my phone for a while which is a great reset.

I'm back in blighty again now following am epic roadtrip with fellow legend
and really looking forward to getting stuck back into music, starting with my monthly live stream tonight from 20:00.

From the ashes of Noisily a new community led festival called Notsilly was born, and I was delighted to be invited to play the main stage 21:00-22:30 on Friday 11th July.
With the sun setting and knowing that Neutron - TIP Records would be playing after me, I start with HNTR's great new track "Victory", and shift up through the gears through a healthy dose of acid and ending on DJ Tristan and Avalon's amazing remix of "Techno Code".

This was a fantastic event, organised in only 10 weeks and it was so good to be invovled in this fantastic little party.

Hope you enjoy the mix!

Hugely honoured to be invited to play for next weekend.

Big corporations may buy/ take over festivals, but they rarely connect with the community associated with the festival.

Fire those that knew , you'll know how strong the community was/is and it's from that community NotSilly was born.

A small intimate festival, going back to basics for no reason apart from the love of dancing and community - seriously looking forward to this 😍😍

Catch me playing on the main stage on Friday 21:00-22:30, before handing over to another legend,

July's edition of my monthly residency with Trancemission is now live on SoundCloud.

Building from some chunky Psytech to more full on peaktime techno, it definitely shifts through the gears.

For me, HNTRs Victory, sampling the fugees is a proper belting track. Why not drop me a 🙌 in the comments and which time tweaked your ni**le.

I'm gutted to hear about the passing of Diego and his brother Andre this morning.

Watching Diego was always a pleasure, he always seemed a cheeky chap.
It's also brought home to me how lucky I am, because even though my body took an absolute battering and is now missing a few parts, I survived my accident.

In a morbid way, but also a degree of divine timing because of the mental health battles I'm still fighting with regards to my mum's passing, it's a strong reminder that every day is precious because, quite literally, you don't know what is around the corner.

There's a reason why I close my radio shows with the words "take care of yourselves, and each other" - because I'm the blink of an eye it's over and all you will have left are memories.

I send all my love and hugs to the Jota family and friends, and hope the outpouring of love offers some degree of comfort in these hard times, and please know that we mean the words "You'll never walk alone".

I am really excited to be playing at the NotSilly festival this July!

One thing large organisations often fail to understand about small festivals, is the community that is built around that festival.

So when , was cancelled, the community refused to let that weekend go unmarked and a new small festival was born.

50% of tickets have already been sold, so if you like a proper grassroots festival, born from the love of music and community, grab tickets which are crazy cheap.

All profits are being donated to to further help the overall festival community.

Absolutely terrible news from Liverpool, and absolutely no need for this.

Thankfully it appears no one has been killed, and I hope those injured make full recoveries.

and their fans have endured one tragedy in the past and I have absolutely no doubt that the whole of Liverpool, both red and blue, will rally around each other again.
