Imagine contracting HIV from blood transfusions that you got from NHS. That’s what happened to Andy Evans.

Listen to his story on Address The Harm®️ podcast on Spotify or wherever you listen to audio content.

The tainted blood scandal shattered trust in the institutions meant to protect us, with more than 3,000 lives lost and thousands more forever altered.

On our first episode Andy Evans shares why making survivors the experts is the only way Britain can prevent tragedies like this in future.

Donate now if you believe survivor-led justice and accountability should shape the next Address the Harm®️podcast episode.

Andy Evans survived Britain’s infected blood scandal—a disaster where thousands died because of system-wide neglect and cover-ups.

Survivors have become unwilling experts in institutional failure, but even now their voices are sidelined.

We need your support today: Donate to our crowdfund and ensure Andy’s, and other survivors’, blueprints for change remain at the centre of national debate.

More than 30,000 NHS patients were given contaminated blood transfusions between the 1970s and 1990s—devastating countless lives, including that of Andy Evans.

Survivors like Andy know what went wrong and how these failures keep repeating, but institutions rarely listen.

If you want to hear more survivor stories that challenge power and build real solutions, help us keep producing the Address the Harm®️podcast by donating to our crowdfund.

Survivors have become unwilling experts in institutional failure—they know what went wrong, why it keeps happening, and how to stop it.

Institutions still default to denial and self‑protection.

That’s why trust is collapsing—and why we’re still counting the cost: over £2.8 billion a year in NHS negligence and more than 3,000 lives lost in the infected blood scandal.

Survivors shouldn’t need hidden cameras to be believed.

That’s why we’re building a survivor‑led podcast—episode by episode—that shifts power towards accountability and prevention.

Address the Harm®️ is entirely self‑funded. Your donation keeps the mic on, pays for editing and access, and values survivors’ time and emotional labour.

In 1999, Raymond Lee, a member of the Windrush generation, was denied re-entry to the UK.

He spent 20 years fighting to return home.

When he sought compensation, his claim was rejected, until a landmark judicial review proved the Home Office had misapplied the law.

Jack and Paul were just boys.

They died at the hands of their father during a court-ordered visit, after the court ignored a clear history of abuse.

Their mother, Claire, warned the system. It didn’t listen.

Between 49–62% of private family court cases involve domestic abuse.

Yet the system still prioritises contact, even when it puts children at risk.

Justice starts with listening. And believing.

When systems listen, lives are saved.

Your donation helps us teach institutions how to respond with care and accountability.
