✨ A Special Monday at Old School Cafe! ✨

Our weekly Nourish program was in full swing today as we welcomed our guests with a warm, nutritious, and wholesome meal. ❤️🍽️

This week was extra special — thanks to our new partnership with BME Suffolk, everyone was able to take away food bags filled with a sandwich, fruit, snacks, and even a comforting cup of tea. ☕🍎🥪

To top it all off, we were visited by the Bury Free Press, who came to profile the Nourish program and shine a light on the vital work happening here: people helping people to combat food poverty and loneliness. 💛

Community, care, and connection — that’s what Nourish is all about. 🌿🤝

The season has turned, and so has our Menu and Chalkboard Specials. In our kitchen — slow pots simmering, ovens glowing, and the scent of roasted roots and cinnamon in the air. At Old School Café, we are sticking to what we love best: simple recipes, honest ingredients, and the kind of food that warms you from the inside out. 🍁
Come in from the cold for a bowl of butternut & roast pepper soup, smooth and golden like winter sunlight. Try our rustic winter buddha bowl, packed with maple roast root veg, hummus, spinach, grains, beetroot, orange fig and balsamic glaze served with warm flatbread. Warm up with our hearty vegetable curry.🌿
And when it’s time for something sweet, there’s vegan apple & cinnamon crumble slice, gluten free chocolate & pear cake, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and vegan spiced pumpkin muffin with orange glaze — cosy, familiar, and full of memory. 🍰
Our winter menu is a little taste of heritage — homemade comfort, shared stories, and the warmth our café holds. Enter our doors, pull up a chair, your place is waiting. ❤️

🌿 The Little Winter Market – Update 🌿

We’re so sorry to share that, due to unexpected illness, we’ve had to postpone The Little Winter Market planned for the 1st–2nd November.

As this is our first market, we want to make sure it meets the high standard we’ve set ourselves — and right now, we feel the best decision is to pause and give it the time and energy it deserves.

A new date will be announced by the end of the week, and the market will now take place in the New Year.

Huge apologies to everyone who was looking forward to joining us — and thank you so much for your understanding and support. We promise it’ll be worth the wait. 💚
