Well it feels like a while since I claimed something, and if thinks I need more smelly products. Then we'll I'll go for it. The Phantom Elixir bottle looks different so I went for that. Now to wait and find out how it smells.

Have been putting the new Plenty Flexisheets to the test, and they absolutely live up to the hype. Seriously strong, tough enough for actual scrubbing jobs, and you can even rinse and reuse them.

The half-sheet option is a clever design for cutting down on waste. A simple product, brilliantly executed. Very impressed with the quality.

The … except it’s Saturday, because life’s too short for strict schedules. ⚔️

Tonight’s pour: BrewDog’s Rocky Road Marshmallow Stout.
6.8% ABV. Dark chocolate first, then that soft, sweet marshmallow vibe that somehow dodges the “fake” taste trap. Basically a drinkable dessert — the kind that makes you forget it’s nearly 7% until you stand up.

Verdict: 9/10. Would happily take this “rocky ride” again.

So we took the girls to Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium today to watch the Women's Rugby between England and Spain. It was a great day out we had loads of fun watching them play and smashing it 97-7. Even enjoyed cheering on when the Spanish got their great Try!

Great game. And both girls enjoyed it, even managed to get some photos with the players and some signatures too.

Another day, another small victory in the ongoing project of making a house a home. I've been wanting to hang a few frames and a basket without turning my newly painted walls into Swiss cheese, so this delivery from was perfectly timed.

I put the UniBond No More Nails Stick & Peel to the test, and I’ve got thoughts.

First off, it’s impressively strong. It claims to hold up to 6kg and while I’ve only used it for lighter items in the bathroom so far, it feels incredibly secure. It sticks to multiple surfaces (even tiles!) and being water-resistant is a huge plus. The best part for me was applying it, pressing the frame to the wall, and just... being done. No mess, no fuss, no drama.

The only real downside? Application is a little fiddly because it's so thick and sticky. And a personal pet peeve: no instructions on the packaging itself, you have to scan a QR code to find out how to use it. A minor inconvenience, but one that could definitely be improved!
Overall, I’m really pleased. It’s a fantastic solution for renters or anyone who dreads getting the toolbox out. A definite keeper for quick fixes around the house.

A little while ago, I got sent a box of Viviscal Man from and .uk. The mission? See if I could convince my hair to stick around a bit longer before clocking out for good.
Now, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t the most consistent. A few days here and there slipped through the net (life, kids, brain fog... you know the drill).
But here's the thing, while I haven’t suddenly transformed into Thor with a wind-machine-worthy mane.
My hair feels a bit thicker, a bit healthier. Not a miracle cure. But solid backup. Good scaffolding, like I said. Would I recommend it? Yeah, actually. It’s earned a nod from me.

Well, well, well, what do we have here? My culinary adventures have taken a rather delightful turn, thanks to being selected for the Consumer Panel! And my first mission? To put the Breville Solo SnackMaster through its paces.
Since last Wednesday, this little powerhouse has been a permanent fixture on my countertop, clocking in a solid 4 uses already. While it hasn't yet had the honour of crafting a full breakfast or sizzling sausages (that's definitely on the menu soon!), it has proven itself an absolute champion for those moments when only a quick, delightful snack will do.
For a lone wolf in the kitchen, or anyone needing speedy sustenance, this gadget is a revelation. It's compact, efficient, and delivers perfectly toasted goodness every single time. Honestly, I predict this will swiftly become one of the most frequently used items in my entire kitchen arsenal. My current usage metrics are off the charts, and the satisfaction levels are peaking!
Prepare yourselves, because I foresee a future filled with perfectly golden, crispy creations. This isn't just a snack maker; it's a snack architect. My only regret? Not having it sooner.

The call of the wild collectible... it's a strong one! Saw these new MrBeast Lab Swarms and for a second, I was ready to dive in. I mean, who doesn't love the sound of 'manic mixes of lava, ice, and snacks' wreaking havoc?

But then, I ran the numbers. I surveyed the existing subjects... and the data was conclusive. Previous test batches of similar toys have been relegated to the 'Land of Forgotten Plastic' in record time.

So, it's a pass from me. My wallet is safe, and my home's clutter level remains stable (for now).

And just like that, the blog post is live. After five years of memories, I think we've said a fond farewell to . It's a strange feeling when you realise your children are growing up and out of a tradition you've all loved so much. In the new blog post, I've taken a trip down memory lane, looking at how the festival has changed over the years and what this year's visit really felt like for a family with a seven-year-old.
