Muchwood offers woodland plots for full burials, ash interments and for the scattering of ashes. Each plot includes a memorial tree and recycled oak name plaque. By purchasing your plot now, this gives you the peace of mind that your final resting place is all in order for whenever it is required. We welcome any religion or non-religious beliefs.

Today friends and relatives gathered for the burial of a well loved lady who had a wonderful sense of humour! Road closures meant that she was “late for her own funeral” which friends said she would have found hilarious!! Friends Jackie, Mary and Anji told of her love of trying new things including belly dancing and t’ai chi!! So a little demo was performed graveside. Dogs Peppy and Daisy behaved throughout and enjoyed a treat and fuss. So although a sad occasion, there were uplifting moments to make this a truly personal funeral.

Firefighters from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, the north roaming fire engine, Whittlesey, Huntingdon, Thorney, St Neots, Ramsey and Sawston, along with the water carrier from Ramsey, a specialist 4x4 vehicle from Thorney, and a crew from Oundle in Northamptonshire attended the incident.

It was beautiful warm day as a lovely family laid to rest the ashes of their loved ones at Muchwood. A devoted couple, the wording on their plaque said it all - Together again”. The presence of their adorable great grandchildren, Elliott, Emelia , Olivia and Amaya
showed how lovely it is to include children at interments and help them understand what happens when loved ones pass away. Thank you to the family for giving permission to take photos đź’š

Sometimes circumstances mean a job must be done by hand. And that job usually means it’s down to Chris. So it was lovely to see friends turn up to help, including the foreman, spaniel Ted, who made sure they did the job properly!! 💚
