We chat about how Echotopia and Future Arts Collective Cymru can support and empower aspiring grassroots electronic music producers! We also spend time forgetting what the question was, laughing our heads off and discussing the music scene right now!

Throughout the interview I play tracks by some of the artists from the Echotopia community including The Man by Reb, which you can hear briefly in this clip and snips from other community artists

Also, tune in for my interview with Tokomololo which took place on the day of Mei's new ep release - the brilliant Cysgod Lliwgar! We talk about the inspirations behind the ep and what's on the horizon for Mei. Throughout the interview you will hear snips of each of Mei's new tracks!

I always said that the FOCUS Wales line up reads like a Planet of Swn playlist: all local, all grassroots and independent and all of it world class!

Tonight's show features the first two interviews from the fest.

The first is with Evrah Rose whose brand new album drops today. We had a chat at Tabernacl about what drives Evrah to chose the projects she does and all the good stuff she has coming up!

The second is with .band who smuggled me into their soundcheck (I carried a guitar stand in so it was definitely legit) at ahead of their excellent gig. We chat about where the band started and where they are heading!

Hi there! Col Howarth here from Planet of Sŵn on SW20 Radio reporting from FOCUS Wales in Wrexham.

Day 2...

Fewer gigs but more interviews!

The weather has been absolutely glorious here in Wrexham. I sat on a bench in the grounds of St Giles Church yesterday and then woke myself up wondering where that snoring sound was coming from.

One day to go and I've packed it with gigs!

Internet issues at the hotel are preventing me from editing so here are a few photos including some additional ones from Day 1 of , Seazoo, and teethin

On Day 2 I saw the brilliant - everyone should give their stuff a listen. They are a young band just finishing up their A-Levels and they are all about to up-sticks to Leeds Uni together. If you're in that neck of the woods then you will have lots of chances to catch them live towards the tail end of the year. They have such a solid confident sound and a great live sound. They were great!

Panic Shack blew the big marquee apart. In fact, I've seen them loads of times and this was by far the best. Their live sound has just become massive and they are great entertainers!

Then the incredible NOVA TWINS were just out of this world! Absolute carnage - Georgia South's bass is ridiculous and Amy Love's vocals are off the chart! Absolute highlight so far!
