Growing up, I was obsessed with the early 2000s Subaru Impreza's, spending countless hours playing rally games and watching these iconic cars from this familiar chase camera angle.

Fast forward 25 years, and thanks to FPV drones, I'm now capturing those same shots in real life!

A little sneak peek at some recent work filming the European Rally Championship in Aberystwyth, Can’t wait to do it again next year!

Introducing…The AFTERBURNER 🔥

You’ve seen the power system. Now meet the frame!

Part two of the build brings in the Cinematic Racer 2, paired with the freestyle power combo kit. With the motors going on, it’s starting to take shape and those LEDs deserved their own cinematic entrance 😂

Make more ordinary memories.

Not every memory worth keeping has to come from a holiday, a big night out, a milestone, or some perfectly planned adventure.

Some of the best ones happen when nothing particularly special was supposed to happen at all.

A coffee that tastes better than expected.
A ride with nowhere important to be.
A conversation in a kitchen at midnight.
A journey you nearly didn’t go on.
Laughing at something so stupid you can’t even remember what started it.

We spend so much of our lives waiting for the big moments.

The birthdays.
The holidays.
The achievements.
The places we’ve always wanted to see.

And they matter.

But life doesn’t really happen in the highlights.

It happens in all the little spaces in between them.

The random Tuesday evenings.
The Sunday mornings.
The quick visits that turn into hours.
The people you can sit beside without needing to fill every silence.

One day, you’ll look back and realise that some of the moments you miss the most were completely ordinary when you were living them.

So stop waiting for something special to happen before you decide to enjoy your life.

Go for the coffee.
Take the long way home.
Call your mate.
Visit your parents.
Take the ride even if you’ve got nowhere particular to go.

Because a good life probably isn’t made from a handful of extraordinary moments.

It’s made from thousands of ordinary ones that, somehow, became extraordinary when you looked back.

Make ordinary memories more ordinary.

A few months of hard graft behind this one 💪

The Heat Seeker has well and truly earned its keep. From chasing rally cars to exploring the Welsh coastline, it’s become the quad I keep reaching for!

Powering it all:
⚡ MEPS SZ2306 V2 1950KV motors
⚡ MEPS NEONCORE F405 flight controller
⚡ MEPS 60A 4-in-1 ESC
🛠️ DeepSpace Seeker 5 frame
🎥 DJI O4 Pro

Big thanks to MEPS for backing the build. Plenty more flights and footage to come 👊

Reason 3784 why I love FPV ❤️

An excuse to get out with my old man, explore somewhere new and spend the day having a laugh.

The older I get, the more I appreciate days like this. Everyone’s busy, life gets in the way, and a whole day out with your dad becomes something you appreciate a little more than you used to.

This hobby keeps giving us reasons to make those days happen. A road trip, a few batteries and another adventure together.

And apparently, no matter how small the gap looks, Dad reckons it’s a “piece of piss”😂
