Cannot believe it’s been a week since the RTS North East and Border Awards. Thank you to the University of Cumbria for the invitation, well done to all nominees and congratulations to Wildlife Media student Megan Richards who won in her category.

Here’s a photo from the night with Ronnie (doesn’t he scrub up well!) alongside the High Sheriff of Cumbria Chris Holmes DL and former leader of Carlisle City Council Colin Glover, who are giving support and time to our film studio project.

Honoured to be part of the Official Selection Keswick Film Festival Osprey Short Film Awards 2024 with our short ‘On Borrowed Time’ today. It was great to see other filmmaking talent in Cumbria. Well done to the winners.

We were at the Cumberland Economic Summit in Carlisle today.

It was a great to hear about the economic vision for Cumberland and Cumbria as a county, and have the opportunity to give feedback (as well as meet lots of fantastic people)…!

Let’s make it happen Cumberland Council…!

We are delighted to announce that our short film ‘On Borrowed Time’ filmed at the ‘Where Poppies Grow’ studio in Carlisle has been shortlisted for the Osprey Short Film Awards at the 2024 Keswick Film Festival. Good luck to all our fellow shortlisted film makers and a huge thanks again to our dedicated team of film-making volunteers.

Today is our last working day at the Where Poppies Grow studio for 2023…we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and peaceful 2024!

What a year 2023 has been! The interior of our tank Arthur is taking shape and we have been working hard behind the scenes pushing the studio project to interested parties, showcasing at Carlisle Ambassadors and working on a feasibility study with support from Cumberland Council which is scheduled to be signed off very soon!

Finally to round the year off we were back filming last weekend with our 2nd Unit picking up key shots for our opening scenes. A huge thank you to all of our cast and crew giving their time and skills to make this happen… onwards towards 2024!!!
