The g 7 nations should take a look at how well run Vietnam is and implement some of their policies IMHO
Why I’m Proud to Live in Vietnam — A Model Worth Watching
1. Remarkable Economic Growth
Vietnam’s economy grew by 7.09% in 2024, outperforming most G7 nations, whose average growth hovers around 1.5%.
Quarterly gains have steadily risen—5.98% in Q1, 7.25% in Q2, 7.43% in Q3, and a robust 7.55% in Q4—showing real accountability in economic performance.
This growth was driven by strong gains in services (49%), industry & construction (45%), and agriculture (5%). Labor productivity also rose, and inflation was kept under control (3.6%)—a testament to disciplined economic management.

2. Smart Government That Delivers
Unlike many democracies where election promises go unfulfilled, Vietnam has consistently exceeded its own targets and met all socioeconomic goals in 2024—without street-level chaos or political grandstanding.
Healthcare coverage is more than 93%, with the state covering poor families, children under 6, the elderly, and ethnic minorities in full.

⸻
3. Bamboo Diplomacy — Balanced and Pragmatic
Vietnam’s foreign policy rests on balance and resilience. Called “bamboo diplomacy,” it means staying flexible, independent, and diplomatically rooted—like the bamboo.
This approach has produced historic diplomatic upgrades:
• A Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the U.S. in 2023 (skipping the usual “strategic” tier).
• Strong engagement with China, Russia, Europe, and ASEAN partners.
• Invitations from global leaders like Biden, Xi, and Putin—without picking sides.

⸻
4. Modern Infrastructure with Long-Term Vision
• The government is investing in massive infrastructure projects, including a high-value rail link to China, nuclear power plants, and satellite internet access via Starlink.
• Ambitions include reaching 8% growth in 2025, cutting red tape, and streamlining governance.

⸻
5. Peace, Unity, and Prosperity
On the 50th anniversary of the war’s end, Vietnam centered its celebrations on peace, unity, and reconciliation—not victory or division.
Today, Vietnam stands as a committed global partner, balancing historic alliances with modern partnerships.

⸻
Why This Matters
• Unlike many G7 countries tangled in political posturing and broken promises, Vietnam consistently delivers results.
• It blends market dynamism with social responsibility, offering a rare model of capitalist efficiency and public care.
• It stays strategically independent, rising as a globally respected middle power with strong infrastructure and high international trust.
⸻
In short: Vietnam isn’t perfect—but it’s a model of stability, efficiency, caring governance, and consistent delivery. As someone who’s lived here, I can confidently say: I feel safe, valued, and truly blessed.
