Never did I think I would be doing the jumps which we’ve been able to do together - I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings us.

All Star Academy prep continues. I still have no idea what to expect, so we’ve torn up the training routine and started doing whatever looks hardest.

This weekend, that meant Somerford — the farm ride and the cross country courses.

We both broke records over the castle jump: 1.20m for the solid fence, 1.35m once you include the brushes. Alfie looked at it, thought about it, and went anyway. Very proud of him.

Ezabella came along as partner in crime and had an equally excellent time. She and Bea were incredible.

Somerford: highly recommended. Bring a horse with more confidence than sense!
