A gorgeous morning at Makers Cove! ✨ | ad

We had the most wholesome morning at Makers Cove, a true hidden gem in Liverpool. I absolutely love what they’ve created here, a beautiful, bright space where families can spend time together without costing a fortune. 💛

The prices here are unbelievably fair, by far the cheapest we’ve ever been to. It meant my children could enjoy more than one activity without me worrying about the bill running high! They offer canvases, T-shirts, pottery, colouring, and more. The whole space is so calming and inviting.

If you go this month, there’s a special Halloween craft selection, and next month it’ll be Christmas-themed! They also host fun themed events regularly.

Highly recommend Makers Cove for the perfect indoor weekend fun at such a reasonable price. We will definitely be back! 🎨✨

A gorgeous morning at Makers Cove! ✨

We had the most wholesome morning at Makers Cove, a true hidden gem in Liverpool (📍114 Longmoor Lane, Liverpool, L9 0EJ)! I absolutely love what they’ve created here, a beautiful, bright space where families can spend time together without costing a fortune. 💛

Wow… what a summer! ✨

I’ll be honest, I was so anxious about the school holidays after hearing all the warnings about parents “losing their minds,” but truthfully, I’ve loved having my little ones with me every day.

Of course, I won’t lie… there were moments where I did lose my mind trying to juggle everything 🤯 Between a full-time job, keeping the kids entertained, and wanting to be a present parent, something had to give and that ended up being social media. For the last couple of weeks, I went pretty much radio silent because keeping up with posting felt near impossible. My kids and my job had to come first, and I don’t regret it for a second. If the algorithm punishes me, then so be it… it was worth every moment.

This summer we’ve visited so many incredible places, met the most inspirational people, and made memories I’ll never forget. I’ve even had to turn down opportunities because we simply couldn’t fit everything in (a crazy thought in itself!). To all the amazing companies who invited us along, thank you so much. I appreciate every single one of you and love sharing these experiences with this community 🤍

Back to normality now… until the next adventure!

The smile says it all… 🐐💛

We spent the morning at Walton Hall & Gardens for their Zoo Keeper Experience and it was honestly one of the best activities we’ve ever done with the kids!

From 10:30–12:00, our little animal lover got to:
🛏️ Clean out and make the bed for the alpacas
🍽️ Feed the goats, pigs, chickens & more
🐰 Cuddle rabbits, guinea pigs & other furry friends
🗣️ Ask questions & learn from the amazing keepers

It’s hands-on, educational, and packed with animal fun,all for just £15 per child! Such great value for money and a brilliant way to make special memories 💫

A day of adventure at Stump Cross Caverns ✨🪨 | ad

This was a day out like no other and because of that, it’s one we’ll remember forever.

We picked up our UV lights and dinosaur/fairy trail from check-in and headed underground to explore the incredible caves. The kids loved hunting for hidden clues along the way, and completing the trail meant a prize at the end!

Afterwards, we booked onto Crystal Wonders, where we learnt all about different crystals and even got a kit to make our own.

Lunch and ice cream from their gorgeous little café was the perfect refuel before our final adventure, panning for real gems! The kids discovered gemstones and fossils they could take home, making the day even more special.

This was such a fun and fascinating experience for all ages. Our youngest is only 3, and she was totally engaged the whole day, proof that this is a trip for the whole family. We haven’t stopped talking about it since!

Week 3 of the Summer Holidays – what a week!

From movie days to foam parties (yes… two of them!), we’ve packed in so much fun and adventure. Here’s what we got up to:

🎬 Watched Bad Guys 2 at the cinema
🪨 Explored the caves at Stump Cross Caverns
💎 Discovered our own gems and fossils
⛺ Stayed in an off-grid teepee
🐷 Returned to our favourite – Piglets Adventure Farm
🏖 Hired a beach hut for a seaside day
🦖 Met some “real” dinosaurs
💦 Foam party #1 at Piglets Adventure Farm
🐐 Fed the site’s goats and chickens daily
🔥 Toasted marshmallows (because… camping!)
🏰 Visited Castaway Play
💧 Enjoyed their epic water play areas
🎉 Foam party #2 at Castaway Play
🌈 Joined the Funfetti Festival at Imagine That!
⭐ Filled the kids’ star jar and headed to the Top Shop
🐦 Made our own bird feeder to finish the week

So many memories made and we still have more weeks of summer to go!

We love Imagine That! for so many reasons, it’s an incredible day out for children of all ages, making it perfect for families with both little ones and pre-teens. With multiple themed rooms, an amazing outdoor space, craft areas, and science experiments, it’s always such an engaging and educational experience.

But this summer, they’ve made it even better with their Funfetti Festival event! Throughout the day, the kids received so many amazing gifts as they explored each room, including:

It was an amazing day out and incredible value for money with everything that’s included. Highly recommend for a summer family adventure!

WEEK 2 OF THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS ✅

From becoming zookeepers to building our own zoo at home, making a volcano, meeting Mickey Mouse, and dancing along at Milkshake Live, we’ve squeezed in so many fun-filled family days out lately 🥰🎉

Here’s just a few of the things we’ve been up to:

A Summer of Wildlife Discovery at Blue Planet Aquarium! 🐠🦕 | AD

This summer, we went Around the World at Blue Planet Aquarium, and it was AMAZING! 🐊✨

Running from 20th July to 31st August, this 6-week event celebrates the incredible places the animals come from, with each week exploring a different continent 🌎

It’s so much more than just fish!
🐠 Colourful tropical fish
🦈 Sharks & stingrays
🦎 Reptiles & creepy crawlies
🦕 A fun outdoor dinosaur walk
🌿 A peaceful nature trail
☕️ On-site café + gift shop

📍 Located at: Blue Planet Aquarium, Cheshire Oaks
🕘 Open daily: 10am–5pm (last entry 4pm)

We loved the underwater tunnel and live feeding shows, a perfect day out for all ages, rain or shine!
