What’s the one fish you want to catch more than any other? 🎣

If I had a pound for every time I’ve tried to catch this fish and failed, I’d probably be able to buy myself a mansion!

Some fish just seem impossible to catch. They keep you guessing, make you change tactics, and leave you dreaming about that one bite. But that's exactly what makes the chase so addictive.

Could cycling for a fishing charity actually make a difference? 🚴🎣

Fishing has already helped me make some big changes in my life, and now I'm thinking about taking it a step further. I'm considering a charity bike ride to raise money for a fishing-related cause while continuing my own fitness journey.

It won't be easy, but if it helps support something that means so much to so many anglers, it could be worth every mile.

11 years ago today, Mrs D somehow agreed to put up with me for life ❤️

Through all the ups and downs, she's been by my side every step of the way. From early mornings and late nights to all the fishing trips, videos, and crazy ideas, none of it would be possible without her support.

What's the one bit of fishing gear you couldn't be without on an overnight session?

This rechargeable headtorch has been an absolute game changer for me this year. Whether I'm setting up in the dark, recasting during the night, or sorting rigs at 3am, it's made life on the bank so much easier.
Sometimes it's the simple bits of kit that make the biggest difference.

What's the best thing you've ever done for your fishing?

For me, it was making a change and getting fitter.

Fishing gave me the motivation to start moving more, improve my fitness, and spend even more time outdoors doing what I love. I'm still on the journey, but I'm feeling better, enjoying every session more, and looking forward to what comes next.

What species had you fooled?

The fight was on, the heart was racing, and I was convinced it was a carp... until it finally surfaced and turned out to be something completely different! 😅

Those surprise captures are all part of the fun and they still get the adrenaline pumping every single time.

What better way to spend a day than making memories by the water?

Getting more kids into fishing is something I’m incredibly passionate about. Seeing youngsters put down the screens, get outdoors, learn new skills and experience the excitement of catching a fish is what it's all about.

The future of angling depends on the next generation, and every young angler we inspire today helps keep our sport alive for tomorrow.
