That feeling when a piece goes live… we love the coverage buzz 🐝 ✨

With editorial, there’s always a risk that a feature, comment, or news story will be pulled right up to the last second. There are no guarantees.

In saying that…

We’re VERY good at what we do 🤭

We know how to secure opportunities and maximise the likelihood of publication. So we’re pretty familiar with the coverage buzz, but we never take it for granted.

We need to start thinking about how our businesses are being seen by everyone, not just the people we're selling to 👀

86% of job seekers now evaluate companies based on their employer brand. That means your business's image is influencing more than just sales and partnerships.

More importantly, it's also shaping who wants to work with you (and who doesn’t).

Attracting high performers takes more than a competitive salary and shiny perks, even in today’s job market. Due diligence now happens in a half-second Google search or a quick AI summary, pulling all the good (and bad) about your business into view 👩‍💻

It's no surprise, then, that evidence of your values and a consistent, credible presence (across socials, in the media, and everywhere in between) matter more than ever.

Hop over to our blog to learn how PR shapes employer reputation and why it’s more important than ever – link in comments.

Us? Bath's Agency of the Year? No way 🥹

We still can't quite believe it. With ten other brilliant finalists, we were in exceptional company last night. So we didn't think we'd be starting today by celebrating ourselves, but here we are.

And what a moment of pride and gratitude this is.

For our clients, for our community (both personal and professional), and, most of all, for our team.

This award is a testament to our small but mighty team and the work we do across Bath and beyond. The last year has been a culmination of almost a decade of hard work spearheaded by Morgan.

Yes, we’re here to deliver stellar results. But we’re also here to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. People first, always. At its core, PR is about creating mutually beneficial connections, something we pride ourselves on doing every single day.

Be it our team and clients, journalists and editors or the communities these stories impact, we always work with integrity and care. We give back more than we take, we lift others up, and we invest in a better creative future for all of us.

These are the marks of real impact, and we're proud to carry them.

Even the smallest business, the tiniest creative act, or the simplest collaboration, can make a difference 💙

Thank you to all of our amazing clients (and an extra cheers to Eke, Jordan, and and Francesca for allowing us to share your testimonials).

Huge congratulations to Jess, who was also a finalist for Founder last night. As we said in our entry, it's no wonder when you look at her many contributions to both the local business ecosystem and young creative talent.

Thank you to , -Ann, and for crafting the winning application, and of course, to and .

Also, how special is the award design itself? Created by students at Spa Uni, the Bath stone and Georgian facade are such a beautiful nod to our heritage city and the creativity that thrives here 🏛️

We'll leave off with one last gratitude: thanks to , dodd ( clash) and Stone (BSU), and everyone behind the scenes for hosting. Thank you to the judges for seeing and recognising all that we've achieved, and our category sponsor, Matter. And of course, congratulations to all the other winners, finalists and entrants. Cheesy as it is, we really do think you're ALL winners.

What time is it? It’s time! 🤩

This week we’ve hit the headlines with likeability labour for women in the workplace, the hair transplant business for improving patient care standards, and the future of AI for the office space sector.

Don’t miss the latest from:

Amy Kean, CEO and Creative Director of Good Shout () was featured in Stylist discussing the latest report ‘Shapeshifters: What We Do At Work To Be Liked’. After surveying more than 1,000 people, Good Shout has found that women feel a greater pressure to be liked in the workplace, with this intense ‘likeability labour’ impacting their careers. Thank you, .beecham! 🗣️

Dr Roshan Vara, Hair Transplant Surgeon and Co-Founder of Treatment Rooms London (), recently appeared in The Business of Healthcare podcast to share his experience on starting his own clinic. The episode looks at the intricacies of hair transplant procedures and his clinic’s focus on improving patient care standards in the UK🥼

Jim Groves, CEO and Founder of Rubberdesk (), wrote a piece for Software Testing News on the impact of AI on the office space sector. He explains how AI is a force for collaboration and efficiency, but despite all its advances, the human element must remain at the core of the modern workplace 🏢

You’re not writing a blurb for a novel. You’re helping someone decide, quickly, whether your non-fiction book is worth their time.

The KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid) really comes into its own here. Think of your synopsis like a clear, confident elevator pitch but minus the fluff.

Start by thinking about how to clearly and concisely communicate:

🤔 Who’s it for?

🤔 What does it help them do?

🤔 Why is it worth reading – now?

Stick to one or two sentences max, and don't be afraid to add a bit of persuasion behind your writing style. If someone’s skimming, your message should still land.

We followed this approach for our the synopsis of our eBook, Powerfully Practical PR.

Jess hopped across to Bristol for a session this morning and passed this little icon from her past. She graduated from Wills Memorial building just a few years ago now… 😉🎓

After a quick glance down memory lane, it was onwards to Origin to catch up with some of the best business minds in the South West.

Lots of familiar faces at with last week.

We've said it before, and we'll happily say it again: the Bath networking scene is such an enriching and inspirational community of local businesses, and we love being part of it.

Anyone heard of PESO? No, we haven't misspelt pesto 😅

PESO is a media channel framework. It stands for Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned media. Here's a quick refresher on two of our favourites:

Owned media 👉 channels you control like your website, blog, social media profiles, and email newsletters. Benefits include full control, cost-effectiveness, and direct communication with your audience.

Earned media 👉 publicity gained through efforts like news mentions, shares, reviews, and influencer endorsements. Benefits include credibility, wider reach, and organic growth.

Key differences?

Owned media 👉 you create and control the content, directly engaging your audience.

Earned media 👉 others create and share content about you, building credibility through third-party validation.

Combining both can amplify your brand's reach and impact.
