0.4lb gain on the higher calories this week. I was recording a loss all week until Thursdays fish and chips, which caused my weight to spike and it's stayed high since 🙄

I was going to have stirfry for tea last night but went to A&E to get my ribs/breathing/hips checked (all okay i've just managed to pull a muscle across my ribs)

Didn't fancy stir-fry so had cheese toastie and soup.😋 It meant I went 48 calories over but fitted my macro's and was what I wanted! (Although it caused another 0.7lb spike on the scales)

Average daily calories was 1637, and I was aiming for 1600.

Average daily steps 8997.

I know some of the spike will be a mixture of the extra calories, the stress and inflammation my body is going through...again and the lack of proper rest/sleep.

Hopefully it'll all sort itself out soon 😆

Back to work tomorrow morning, dosed up on painkillers and coffee 🙄😬🥱

My weight was dropping really well this week (even though I've increased my calories!)

Then we went to Weston Super Mare yesterday and had fish and chips!

They were amazing (The photo doesn't really do them justice), but I couldn't manage them all (which is very unlikely me 😆) unfortunately the scales still spiked by 1.7lb this morning 😬

In other news...

I slept funny on Wednesday night, and managed to pull a muscle in my rib, which has made any type of deep breathing hard work.

I think i've finally grasped 'double entry bookkeeping' for the first module of AAT level 2 🥳

We are now on Friday of my 'holiday' and i've had no cake 😮

My new job starts Monday, i'm trying to quash the imposter syndrome currently going on 🫣😬😆

Last time we went to see Paddington in Newbury, I was preparing for my first hip replacement.

Nice to go back today and walk around with far less pain!

I promise it was Paddington who took a bite from his sandwich...not me!🤣

I always plan and enter my food into My Fitness Pal for the following day.

It takes the guess work out of whether i'll reach the correct calories/macros.

However, it's not very often I get my macro's as exact as this 🤣

Although it'll change slightly tomorrow once I enter the exact weights of things.(I weigh everything by the gram)

A lovely walk around Chippenham today. No kingfisher this time, but lovely to see the swans 🥰

Lost 0.4lb this week on an average of 1445 calories, but I have been feeling totally exhausted, very hungry, completely spaced out, and struggling to concentrate on my studies, and in all honesty everyday life 😆

Although this deficit is providing an average lost of 0.75lb a week, I think its too aggressive for the physical and mental stresses my body is under currently.

I need to remember i'm still recovering from bilateral hip replacement, and although the external scars are healed, the internal work of bone and muscle repair will be ongoing for a year or so, and my body needs significant energy for this.

I'm also putting my body under further cognitive stress with studying for my AAT qualification and my upcoming new job as a Finance Manager.

I desperately want to lose the 16lb i've gained, but not at the expense of my health and wellbeing. So i'm going to increase my calories to 1600/1650 a day to see if it helps. (i'll still be in a deficit but it won't be so aggressive)

My partner and I now have a week off, before I start the new job, so i'll likely exceed my daily calories this week, as you can't have a week off without cake and treats 🤣

Had an afternoon stroll and relax at my second home 😆 Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens 🥰
