Coming Soon!!!

Thank you everyone for being so patient. Coming soon, as the headline says, the launch of the games second proper prelaunch testing phase. Followed by the league version of the game itself.

Before the launch we will be posting new in game pictures showing the new look for the game. For those of you irritated by the previous in game music, there is new equally annoying music but this time with no uncleared samples. We didn't really want to be sued by Cliff Richard so early on in the games development.

We are still working on getting a working online leaderboard that is scalable for our player base. We think we have ironed out the annoying but that stops progress beyond the fifth card sometimes. We have built a scoring system allowing for every hand and everybody playing should they all get the same hand - speed counts. The game is very nearly ready to launch. Watch this space.

So, there's been a lot happening behind the scenes lately. We have started looking at premisis to move the company in to. That's a fairly big step.

We have decided on a name change for the game... another fairly big change. We will announce this in the coming week - I was just a bit concerened by people being put off of a trivia game by it's Poker aspects. Don't be afraid... it is just a different way of scoring. And you might pick up how to play poker along the way. Enjoy it is my advice.

I have nearly completed the code for the new scoring system. Now when you compare your score against other people, there is almost no chance of a tied score. The chances are over 10 million million to one. Take a chance, as if anybody does achieve a tied score, there will be a big prize available for those players that manage it. I reserve the right to define what "big" means in terms of "prize" at any time in the competition.

Hello everyone. Here is an update on how things are going.

A big thank you to everyone who helped out testing the game on Android and iOS. The feedback helped a lot and has really moved us along. The test version of the game is now no longer available in the Google Play Store and there are no more invites to the iOS version. Next time the game goes up it will be in a much more evolved version than you played last time.

Scoring was causing a lot of problems but this only showed up when questions were answered incorrectly. If you have been testing the game yourself and wrote 90% of the questions, getting them wrong takes effort. The scoring code has now been re-written from scratch and is ready for the upcoming online leaderboard.

We will keep everyone informed when we are testing again. Next round should include an online leaderboard, whether this is worldwide or just friends via invites, time will tell.

Once again, thank you for all of your help and support. I couldn't have done it without you all.

Hello Everyone. News update on the state of play regarding Quiz Poker League. As you all knew, the release available to download so far has only been a very early beta release of Quiz Poker to let other people try out the basis of the game. We have had some great feedback and it was fantastic to hear what you all said as it has been only really me playing the thing up until this point.

The feedback mostly says that, yes, people like it and, yes, my spelling is terrible. All of the feedback is being worked on. There is still along way to go to getting this game out there as it should be played. At the moment, the game is no loner available in the Google Play Store and is still only available via invite only on the Apple App Store. It will be up again once we have made progress in making the game a Multi Player experience. The first step towards this is the online leader board. Hopefully, this could be up and running shortly and I will let you know when.

Another announcement is that when you are able to play against each other and compare highest hands, the speed with which you answered the questions will now count in your favour - if you scored the same hand as someone else but answered the questions faster, you will be placed higher on the leader board. A little thing but this has taken me ages to code.

Hello everyone. Just a quick update for you all regarding testing. I would like to thank everyone for all of the feedback on both platforms.

Things will be a little slow on here regarding updates as we are working on quite a few things at once. Coming up will be the first test version of the multiplayer version of the game - big step forward this so please bear with me. We are also on a bug hunt so if anybody has any bugs, please let us know? We are also fine tuning the scoring system as a few things have come up that can be improved.

A quick word about the questions - they are all either medium or hard difficulty with very few easy ones in there. I wrote them all (for copyright reasons) and so to me, they are all easy (I knew the answers to begin with). Having easy questions also limited replayability for testers. I hope the difficulty didn't put you off too much and when the game launches properly, the questions will be much more balanced.

Thanks once again and please stick with us as we take our game on to the first proper release.

Hello. Apple news. I have made progress with the Apple iOS app at last. That's the good news. The bad news is that it is stuck on closed beta until I figure out what Apple want me to change to post it for release on the App Store. If you want to play an early Apple release then please DM me with your Email address and I can invite you. As it is Apple, they do not make it easy. You have to install an app called TestFlight on your phone or iPad and THEN you can install Quiz Poker League. Thanks Apple.

For those of you playing on Android, the multiplayer league table has taken a step closer to becoming a thing. Soon you will be able to rank your highscores with friends and strangers around the world. This will also be available on the Apple version at the same time.

New update. You can now see your current hand on the question screen. This now saves you trying to remember what hand you are paying for.

Still no Apple version yet. Soon, I promise.

Still no Apple version. Sorry. They do like to make you jump through hoops to publish with them. There will be a new update coming this weekend with a new scoring system. This won't mean much to you and you shouldn't notice it but it does iron out some bugs in the league tables.

Hello. Our latest update has fixed the annoying music. You can now toggle it on or off. It is annoying, I know, but did anyone recognise where it was ripped from? Guesses below.
