A woman can wear socks to cover her feet during prayer, as covering the feet is considered obligatory by many scholars and is the safest way to ensure the validity of the prayer. The majority of jurists consider the feet to be part of the awrah (body parts that must be concealed during prayer), which is why it is essential to cover them. However, the thickness of the socks is important; socks should be opaque enough not to show the skin color.
