On Saturday (12th of April) a team of Colchester based Para Veterans tabbed 25 miles, carrying no less than 25 lbs on their back. All to raise funds for the Paratrooper statue that is due to be unveiled on Abbey Field next year.

On the hottest day of the year so far, the day was a huge success!

The Red Arrows are making their return to North Essex, this Summer, at the Clacton Airshow 🎯

They will make an appearance on both days, the 21st and 22nd of August.

Since they began in 1965, the Red Arrows have flown almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries!

Will you be going to watch this Summer? ☀️

Bobbi spent her morning chatting with 101 year old RAF Veteran, Doug Fellgate, who was born and raised in Colchester.

Doug served in WWII, from 1942-1947 as a Radio Mechanic.

In 2023, he was awarded his Second World War medals, where he received his 1939-1945 Star Medal, Italy Star Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

Thank you for you service, Doug!

Dom from breakfast joined the team from the Personnel recovery centre on one of their Rustic recovery course days yesterday at Alpaca Acres in Little tey.
As well as Alpaca walking they Alain took part in some pig fishing! (It’s a thing!!) and meeting all the other animals. They also helped to move a marquee that had been damaged in the winter storms.

Military personnel have been thanked for their service by the King and Queen during a special reception at Buckingham Palace.

The guests represented the range of military units with whom Charles and Camilla have a connection – and some had intriguing tales to tell about their royal hosts.

Charles and Camilla have several affiliations with various branches of the military, with personnel being invited to Buckingham Palace.
