OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH MONEYGLASS

Designing the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Moneyglass book was both a privilege and a joy. The project combined the reverence of a faith-filled history with the warmth and humour that parish life naturally carries. From treasured photographs and parish records to shared anecdotes that have shaped generations, the design sought to reflect both the solemn beauty of the church and the vibrant character of the community.

At the same time, it was important to capture the lighter side—the smiles, laughter, and spirit of togetherness that make Moneyglass unique. Parish life has always been about companionship and humour as well as devotion, and the book’s design embraces that balance. Weaving moments of joy alongside reflection, the finished work becomes more than a record of history, it is a living celebration of faith, family, and friendship at the heart of Moneyglass.

Last night (15th August) I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Our Lady of Lourdes Church Moneyglass 1925–2025, a publication I helped design with the church’s book committee. It was a really enjoyable evening, and I feel privileged to have been part of such a meaningful publication and occasion.

For the 2025 Open Championship in Portrush, I designed a series of 16 interpretive panels for CCGBC (Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council) displayed throughout the town, celebrating its deep connection to the history of golf.

The project involved creating a visually engaging and cohesive design approach that unified archival photographs, historical narratives, and typography into an accessible and informative public display. Each panel was crafted to complement its surroundings while drawing visitors into the stories of Portrush’s golfing legacy.

It was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a landmark event and help bring the town’s rich sporting heritage to life through design.

IT TAKES ALL KINDS

In his second poetry collection, Robert looks at the everyday lives of all sorts of people, highlighting their differences, struggles, and small moments of beauty. His poems are honest, thoughtful, and sometimes funny, with a real care for those who don’t always fit in. DARE TO DREAM

I had the opportunity to work with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council on the design of the Harry Gregg: Dare to Dream exhibition, which ran at Coleraine Town Hall from July to August 2024. It was a privilege to help bring Harry’s remarkable story to life through visual storytelling and thoughtful design. The exhibition honoured his legacy as both a footballing icon and humanitarian, and it was rewarding to contribute to a project that resonated so strongly with the local community and visiting audiences alike.

SHARE DISCOVERY VILLAGE

I designed an A4 tri-fold leaflet (folded to DL) for Share Discovery Village in Lisnaskea, aimed at promoting their wide range of outdoor activities, inclusive facilities, and accommodation options. The project involved creating a vibrant, user-friendly layout that effectively showcased the organisation’s unique offerings to families, schools, and community groups. With a focus on clear navigation, engaging imagery, and strong branding, the leaflet was designed to be both informative and visually appealing, ideal for display racks, mailouts, and visitor handouts.

The final design supports Share’s mission to provide accessible adventure experiences for all, helping them connect with new audiences and increase visitor engagement.

I recently worked with Datum-Design.com on the design of their new corporate brochure, which showcases their expertise in the design and manufacture of aerospace tooling.

My involvement covered layout design, content structuring, and visual direction to ensure a clean, professional aesthetic aligned with the technical precision of their industry. Emphasizing bold imagery, structured layouts, and consistent branding, the brochure was crafted to effectively communicate Datum’s capabilities across design engineering, component tooling, and large-scale fixture manufacturing.
