Hey guys,
As many of you know this page had been set up about 10 years ago as I had reached out to the rainbow project to start a peer support group with the knowledge of rainbow to point people in the right direction.
The group stopped running maybe 2016/2017? As I moved away and there was no one willing to “carry the torch” as it were.
I’ve never got round to closing the page but had planned to.
However, I still receive quite a lot of messages to the page so in the interest of the Facebook search bar and the q***r of Omagh I want to change the page to a peer support group.
I feel free to invite any business to promote any events that are LGBTQ+ friendly - meaning staff who will ensure the safety of LGBTQ+ people in their venues and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Feel free to use the community/post section for questions yous may have for the Omagh area including any recommendations your q***r peers may be best at using.
I’ll pop in and out of here occasionally but for now, I’ve a busy job, a wife, 3 dogs and a hell of a lot on the side! See yous when I do and from the big smoke I hope yous are continuing to look after each other down there. I hope to return home one day and it would be amazing to have the same welcoming and beautiful people around the town who always treated us no different still around and passing it down to their little ones.
