Today marks the beginning of National Grief Awareness Week.
This year’s theme is Growing With Grief and for us it means this:

Growth doesn’t mean moving on.
It means learning how to carry what we’ve lost.

Because growth isn’t about “getting over it.”

It’s not about fixing, forgetting, or forcing yourself to move forward.

It’s about slowly learning to live with the loss you carry, in your own time, in your own way and knowing that one day, things won’t feel quite as heavy as they do right now.

Growth isn’t something you can force.
It isn’t a finish line or a sign that you’re “better.”

It’s realising that, even in the darkest moments, there will come a time when you feel just a little more able to face the world again❤️‍🩹

🎄December can be a diffult time of the year for many bereaved parents who should be spending the festive period with their precious baby.

Don’t be hard on yourself, if you don’t feel like celebrating much this month or you feel like avoiding social events, that is okay.
Prioritise yourself and each other throughout Christmas and do what is right for you❤️‍🩹

There are so many meaningful ways to keep your baby a part of your family as time goes by.

For us, fundraising has become one special way, especially around birthdays. Next year, Matt is taking on an incredible challenge to honour Callie’s 10th birthday… keep an eye out for more details soon! 🎈

We also visit our babies’ graves regularly with our families, and everything we do through the Foundation and the Podcast helps keep Lily and Callie’s memories alive in our everyday life.

We’d love to hear from you, how do you keep your baby’s memory present in your family life? 💬🌈
