The goalkeeper joins on a season-long loan from the Premier League side.
Carl began his career, climbing through the ranks at Huddersfield Town and Halifax Town, before joining Brighton when he was 18 years old.
Rushworth then went on to enjoy spells out on loan at Worthing, Walsall, Lincoln City, Swansea City and Hull City.
His spell with the Swans during the 2023-24 season was arguably his most notable spell, as he made 48 appearances in all competitions, winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the year.
The shot-stopper has also represented the England Under-21s back in 2023 and was part of the squad who won the UEFA European Under-21s Championship during that same year.
In total, Rushworth has made 176 appearances so far during his career, as he now embarks on his latest journey with the Sky Blues.
