Two very sweaty videographers after a great day at The Nantwich Show yesterday!

Delighted to have been asked to cover the event, we met some brilliant people and learnt so much about the agricultural industries right on our doorstep.

Now off to edit our footage to make sure all humans and livestock look their very best in the final cut! 🎥✨

Do you know the most common thing people get wrong about making video?

Thinking that all you have to do is point and shoot! 🎥✨

The actual filming day makes up a very small, but let's face it, very visible portion of the video production process. You can forgive people for thinking that that is all there is to it!

In reality, production on a corporate video looks a little bit like this:

Pre-production 💡📨📆✨
Initial meeting to discuss brief
Proposal development
Pitching concepts
Final idea approval
Location scouting
Script writing, editing, amedning
Storyboarding
Shots list
Pre-shoot meetings with interviewees
Production scheduling
Booking extra freelancers if required
EMAILS (so many emails)

Kit preparation (selecting, hiring, charging, packing)
Travelling to location
Setting up equipment
Lighting the space
Prepping the speakers
FILMING
Capturing all footage required from interviews to drone footage

✨ Re-introducing Mr and Mrs Powers, AKA High Peak Productions - Video Production Company! ✨

High Peak Productions is a family 🎥 business based in Crewe, Cheshire; we are a husband and wife team who met while working for British Cycling and enjoyed it so much that we set up our own company, so we could spend every day working alongside each other!

Coming from the cycling world, we naturally started out by making sports videos. We still love working with sports organisations and athletes, but we have also had the opportunity to move into different industries and create a much broader range of video content; from working with SMEs to the NHS!
