My latest steam loco build is finished! Midland Railway Compound, LMS No. 1000.

I've been working on this on-and-off since late 2024, and I'm pleased to finally get it finished. I've pushed myself to go all out on this one, with proper loco drive, 8-wide running boards, brick built tender numbering, brake rigging, realistic tender frames, and some minor custom embellishments to finish.

All the wheels and the rods are by Breckland Bricks. The model is powered by a PU large motor, with the AAA hub in the tender.

Thanks to fellow LNUR & LSUR: L-Gauge UK Railway members Levi Reid and Sethbricked for help with the design of the loco chassis and tender chassis respectively.

I'm planning on having another livestream, this time building part of my layout on camera. I'm building the bases for Eddingham ROC throughout the week, but for the grand finale, the ROC itself will be built live. I'll be joined on stream by Productions and LUKR member Henry, who have builds of their own to create. I expect there'll be a lot of daftness and hilarity, so tune in at 7pm on Friday (01/05) if watching three muppets build things and talk rubbish is your cup of tea!

My latest Lego builds!

Stephenson's Locomotion No. 1, along with the 'chaldron' wagons, were made available as instructions with custom prints from our club LNUR & LSUR: L-Gauge UK Railway.

Locomotion is a modified version of the design created by club member Henry Ayling, while the chaldron wagons were designed by Rory Falconer.

The models made their debut at Keighley Model Railway Show last month.
