MeeraCare Coaching Allow me to share with you what I have seen myself and experienced around elderly, disabled people and their families in the past decade. It’s heartbreaking!

Working closely with the families as a Caregiver and Consultant I could feel how much frustration, stress, confusion and fear is involved. I have been working with people who developed different health issues like Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Heart Failure and some of them were in need of a 24/7 Home Oxygen therapy, Physiotherapy or a Post Stroke Rehabilitation. In the past 5 years, I also noticed

that the most complex and advanced struggles were around my clients suffering with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. There is so much pain and worry around it every day! I can only imagine how scary it must be watching your loved one going through that long journey of Alzheimer’s disease. Hello, my name is Karina Meera Viligur, I am a Caregiving Expert and Alzheimer’s Care Coach & Mentor. I am striving to help people like yourself to find manageable solutions in the most effective and impactful way to bring that piece of mind and calm to your lives and lives of your loved ones. I am looking for like minded people with the same views and values in mind- family caregivers who are interested in facing their family member’s Alzheimer’s obstacles, finding tangible solutions and nurture their future as well as build a strong community. Together as one we can tackle each battle through your journey and as a result create a meaningful easy to follow step-by-step program for caregivers and their needs and make life more manageable for everyone involved.

🙋🏻 Are you ready to unlock the secrets to finding happiness as a caregiver for your loved one with Alzheimer's?

When it comes to caregivers for loved ones with Alzheimer's, the pursuit of happiness takes on a unique significance.

Caregivers often find themselves facing numerous challenges and emotional struggles, but it's crucial to remember that happiness is not solely determined by external circumstances.

In fact, those who describe themselves as happy caregivers actively choose happiness repeatedly, sometimes without even realising it.

While some aspects of happiness may be ingrained in a person's disposition, a substantial portion can be cultivated through our mindset and actions.

So let us establish what we mean by 🩵 HAPPINESSES 🩵in the context of caregiving.

Happiness is not a constant state of being but rather a practice involving actions that bring contentment, joy, connection, and an appreciation for life, even in the face of challenging and life-altering experiences.

Research on happiness reveals that the happiest caregivers:

🌟 Cultivate a habit of regularly noticing and deriving joy from the positive aspects of their lives.
🌟 Connect with and devote their time to family, friends, and communities in ways that nourish their hearts.
🌟 Embrace optimism, seeking possibilities amidst the challenges that caregiving presents.
🌟 Reflect on what provides them with a sense of meaning and purpose, actively engaging in those activities.
🌟 Recognize the hidden gifts that can arise from losses and traumatic experiences.
🌟 Express gratitude for their own lives, both privately and to those around them.
🌟 Set goals and commit to pursuing them, giving themselves something to strive for.
🌟 Engage in physical activities that invigorate their bodies, boosting energy levels and overall well-being.

Caregivers for individuals with Alzheimer's face unique circumstances that can be emotionally demanding.

By adopting these practices, caregivers can move closer to a state of happiness, finding moments of joy, fostering connections, embracing optimism, and discovering meaning amidst the challenges they encounter.

🙋🏻 How can embracing forgiveness transform the caregiving experience for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's?

Being a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer's can be a challenging journey.

As you navigate this role, it becomes essential to cultivate a sense of gratitude and embrace the concept of forgiveness, especially towards those who may have hurt or wronged you.

However, before delving into forgiveness, it is crucial to understand its true essence.

Forgiveness does not involve forgetting, reconciling, or reconnecting with the person you choose to forgive.

Instead, forgiveness revolves around your own heart and well-being.

When you hold onto unforgiveness, it breeds feelings of anger, resentment, vengefulness, and hurt, which can have detrimental effects on your emotional and physical health.

Forgiveness is a practice that involves letting go of the pain, moving forward, extracting valuable lessons from the experience, and showing yourself gentleness regarding your own wounds.

We understand that practising gratitude can be demanding when faced with life's hardships.

Similarly, the idea of forgiveness may appear absurd when you have been deeply wounded.

However, it is crucial to remember that you matter, and both gratitude and forgiveness contribute significantly to your overall happiness and well-being.

It can also help you navigate the challenges of caregiving and find solace amidst the difficulties you encounter.

If you need help, support, or someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

🙋🏻 Are you a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer's seeking happiness and resilience through the power of gratitude?

Caregiving for loved ones with Alzheimer's can be a challenging and emotionally demanding journey.

However, incorporating gratitude into your life can serve as a core strategy for choosing happiness amidst the difficulties.

Gratitude extends beyond simple expressions of thanks for acts of kindness or gestures of support.

For caregivers, gratitude involves being fully present in the moments that matter.

It means appreciating the wonders and beauty that surround you, such as the warmth of the morning sun on your face as you start a new day, or a friend who always makes you smile and brings positivity into your life.

It could even be as simple as the unexpected encounter with a playful puppy or the pleasure of sipping a hot cup of tea and the comfort it brings to your soul.

Cultivating gratitude allows you to shift your focus towards the positive aspects of your experience, even amidst the challenges and sorrows.

Remember, you are not alone on this journey, and expressing gratitude can strengthen the bonds that sustain and uplift both you and your loved ones with Alzheimer's.

🌼 Are you tired of sacrificing your own dreams and well-being as a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer's disease? 🌺

Discover how you can reclaim your identity, find inner peace, and pursue your own well-being without neglecting your responsibilities.

Caregivers who look after someone with Alzheimer's disease go through a lot of pain and stress.

They have to deal with constant worry, feeling overwhelmed, and getting frustrated, which takes a toll on their physical and mental health.

They are always tired and have to face challenges and responsibilities around the clock, which pushes them to the point of burnout.

The real problem is that caregivers have to sacrifice their own needs and put their lives on hold.

They don't have time to take care of themselves or enjoy activities they used to love.

They have fewer chances to spend time with friends and family because they're so busy taking care of their loved ones.

The pain they experience is not just physical and mental; it's also emotional.

Seeing their loved ones lose their memory and abilities is really hard for them.

They feel sad, frustrated, and guilty, and it's difficult for them to find comfort in these tough situations.

In the midst of all this, caregivers often lose their own identities.

They have to prioritise caregiving above their own dreams and goals.

They may feel like they've lost a part of themselves because they can't pursue what they want.

They yearn for the opportunity to prioritise their own needs and well-being, to have time for self-care and activities they enjoy.

They want to reclaim their identities and pursue their dreams and goals without feeling consumed by the demands of caregiving.

They seek emotional relief from guilt, inner peace, and joy, empowering their self-care and confidence, and hoping to cope with the challenges of their loved ones' decline without sacrificing their personal lives.

Let me share something with you, reclaiming your identity and prioritising your own well-being as a caregiver is not only possible but also well within your reach and power.

You deserve to find balance, joy, and fulfilment while still providing excellent care for your loved one.

🩵 Ready to release the burden of guilt and prioritise self-care as a family caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer's? 🩵

📣 I am looking for FIVE family caregivers whose life has become consumed by Alzheimer’s challenges and the caregiving role in the past year, who are ready to take control of their own lives and discover a renewed sense of fulfilment in their caregiving journey.

After working with families whose lives were affected by Alzheimer’s I have realised a very sad truth.

They regularly live with:

😩 A round-the-clock caregiving demands that leaving them overwhelmed and frustrated
😩 They lack of spare time for self-care, social interaction, and pursuing personal activities
😩 And absence of feeling confident and truly happy

This leads to physical and mental exhaustion, pushing them to the edge of burnout. They often feel trapped in this cycle and do nothing to address their own emotional well-being.

And worst of all, not knowing what’s actually possible, and definitely not what they can do about it.

Instead of fulfilling their lives with happiness and purpose, they settle for a daunting and draining existence that destroys their own well-being because they think and believe that’s the only option left.

Or they think that’s the best they can have.

They live life burdened by the extensive feelings of anger, resentment, and shame, as they navigate the weight of sacrifices made just because of some simple hurdles that can be overcome, such as:

😲 Getting the awareness and knowledge to move forward
😲 Overcoming guilt and finding the courage to take action and responsibility to reclaim their lives by prioritising their own needs and well-being
😲 Dedicate the time for self-care and activities they enjoy to restore their physical and mental energy, enhancing their overall quality of life

Don’t put it off any longer, don’t leave it until it’s too late… Like I did…It took me five months to get over feeling ill and burnout. I know how it feels to be “broken”.

Over the past four years, I’ve been working with people and their families whose loved ones developed Alzheimer’s and dementia… and just like you… I have experienced huge levels of exhaustion, anxiety, self-neglect and loss of confidence, working 13-14 hours a day until one day I said…“Enough is Enough!” to myself.

I began to recognise the pattern of what I was doing wrong, I spent time developing my own strategy of routines to prioritise my own needs and well-being.

I’ve surprised myself with what is possible when you TAKE ACTION.

The biggest thing is that:

😊 I am no longer preoccupied by guilt and anxiety
😊 I have created time for self-care and I no longer see this as selfish, but as healthy and necessary
😊 I’m getting better sleep, I’m eating healthy, and I just feel overall great

🩵 I enjoy looking after my special Alzheimer’s life companions and most of all, I am grateful as I have become more CONFIDENT and I just really ENJOY MY OWN LIFE! 🩵

It’s not always a walk in the park caregiving for someone with Alzheimer’s, but things are so much better for me now.

I’ve decided to put together a brand new beta program to help family caregivers to overcome their fears, guilts, gain back their self-assurance and peace of mind, and maintain a healthy life balance for their loved ones and themselves.

This is going to be a powerful, three-month transformation of all your “need-to-know” areas for your better self.

And as one of the first five participants, I’m going to thank you by creating everything bespoke and custom made just for you.

You’re going to get direct, one-to-one access to me and we’re going to tackle every problem you have TOGETHER!

Once this program is complete, I will be charging north of £3000 for this program and it won’t include my personal one-to-one time or customised attention at anywhere near the level you’re going to get.

Want to join them?

If this has resonated with you and you're looking for an effective step to take to start you on that path…The good news is… I've got you.

But please…this isn’t a magical quick-fix solution, it will take your time and effort.
I need to work with people who are serious, want to take action, learn and get moving.

If that's you, comment 'serious' below 👇👇 and I will reach out to you with a DM on how to get started.

🌟 And please share this post with anyone who you think might be interested in it. 🩵

Stop suffering and destroying yourself. Start living life, embracing joy and gratitude with confidence and compassion.

I look forward to seeing you on the other side.

🙋🏻 Are you ready to break free from caregiver guilt and embrace a new beginning of self-care and happiness?

Sometimes, we reach a point where we have to say, "Enough is enough!"

We've poured our hearts and souls into caring for our dear ones, but it's essential to remember that our own well-being matters too.

It's not selfish, it's a necessity!

I want to remind each and every one of you incredible caregivers that by choosing to look after yourselves, you mustn't feel bad or guilty.

In fact, taking care of yourself as a caregiver means doing good and better for your loved one as well.

By prioritising your own mental, emotional, and physical well-being, you ensure you have the strength and energy to continue providing the best care possible.

You're not abandoning your loved one; rather, you're creating a solid foundation of self-care that enables you to be an even more compassionate and effective caregiver.

Take the time to recharge your batteries, to find moments of peace, and to explore activities that bring you joy and fulfilment.

This isn't just about you—it's about ensuring you have the capacity to provide the love and support your loved one needs.

Remember, you deserve happiness too.

It's not just for others—it's for you as well.

By taking care of yourself, you become an even stronger and more compassionate caregiver.

Prioritising self-care is not a selfish act; it's a vital part of the caregiving journey.

Remember that Alzheimer's can last for years, and each passing year brings new challenges and complexities.

It's a crazy roller coaster ride that requires strength and confidence.

As the disease progresses, it can feel overwhelming, emotionally draining, and mentally exhausting.

However, it's crucial to prepare yourself for the journey ahead.

Take a deep breath, gather your strength, and embrace the roller coaster ride with resilience and determination.

Take moments to celebrate the victories, no matter how small they may seem.

Cherish the precious moments of connection with your loved one, even amidst the challenges.

And when you face setbacks or difficult times, remember that it's okay to reach out for help and support. You are not alone in this.

So, please, let go of any guilt or shame you may be feeling.

Understand that by nurturing your own well-being, you're creating a positive ripple effect that enhances the care you provide to your loved one.

You are making a profound difference, and you deserve to thrive in your own life too.

🙋🏻 What Sacrifices Do Family Caregivers Make While Looking After Someone with Alzheimer's?

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to shed light on the incredible journey of family caregivers.

It's important to understand the huge sacrifices that they make on a daily basis.

They willingly put their own needs aside to prioritise the well-being of their family members.

They give up their personal time, careers, and dreams to ensure their loved ones have the best possible care.

Family caregivers miss out on so much, and it's heart-wrenching to think about the experiences they are unable to enjoy.

Here are some of the things they often miss out on, and the impact it has on their personal lives:

1️⃣ Social Gatherings: Family caregivers may have to skip parties, events, and get-togethers to attend to their loved ones. The feeling of isolation and missing out on connecting with friends and loved ones can be heartbreaking.

2️⃣ Vacations: Taking a break becomes challenging for family caregivers as their responsibilities require constant attention. The absence of a relaxing getaway can leave them longing for rest and rejuvenation.

3️⃣ Hobbies and Interests: Pursuing personal hobbies or interests often takes a backseat as their time and energy are dedicated to caregiving. This sacrifice can lead to a sense of loss and unfulfilled passions.

4️⃣ Career Advancement: Balancing a career and caregiving can be incredibly demanding. Many family caregivers have to put their professional aspirations on hold or reduce their working hours, which can lead to feelings of unfulfilled potential.

5️⃣ Self-Care: The well-being of their loved ones becomes the priority, often causing family caregivers to neglect their own physical and emotional needs. The lack of self-care can result in exhaustion and a diminished sense of self.

🌺 Let's take a moment to appreciate and support these incredible individuals in our lives.

Reach out to a family caregiver you know and let them know how much their efforts mean to you.

Offer a helping hand or a listening ear, as their responsibilities can be overwhelming at times.

Let's ensure they feel seen, valued, and understood. 🩵
