We've had our Christmas a day early due to me & our Tan having to work, us Carers & NHS workers don't get to have the luxury of long breaks this time of the year its either you work one or the other New years or Christmas, but just to think what we do for those at this time of the year without loved ones or those who are in hospital healing from certain circumstances, we make there days a little brighter & to those that are alone & need home care we bring them the essential needs & requirements they need, yes we sacrifice our time & home time with our own familys & loved ones but its also giving back & in its own way its rewarding especially knowing those who are in need really do appreciate us & what we do.

🎁🎅🎄🤶🎁

So from mine to yours I hope you have a wonderful day full of festive cheer tomorrow, thats me signing off for Christmas I'll see you on new years day for my next video and a cheeky hike.

Thank you to all of you for the continued love and support, I appreciate you all!

Another throwback this year was returning back to Chrome Hill & Parkhouse Hill, this is one of those places you can just respect & admire for the stunning views all around you...the effort you put in doing this circular is so rewarding.

It's always a good pump of adrenaline dashing up Parkhouse Hill as well...

This time round i took this photograph my mum had joined me & my good friend I class as family also joined us, for my mum she had only just gotten into hiking and for her this was up there for beating her phoebia of heights and my gosh she did her self proud & seeing her overcome such obstacles was so damn rewarding plus having my mum join my this year on some of my hikes & creating those ever lasting memories is something ill forever cherish, bearing in mind my mum had never hiked before this year, she certainly ended up getting that hiking bug more so after this citcular, not forgetting having our good family friend with us is always a pleasure.

So after this hike we headed to Bakewell for a really decent meal & of course a Bakewell pudding to finish an already epic day off.

Parkhouse Hill & Chrome Hill will always be an iconic location within the Peak District & it's one ill continue to return to throughout my adult life for reason like above and more.

This has got to be one of my favourite spots for seeing the sunrise & that winter sunrise always hits differently...

Heading up Grindsbrook Clough having to scramble your way up this Clough racing the sun before it rises then getting to watch it come above the horizon is something else....

This was my favourite sunrise of 2025 not just because of the above statement, but getting to share it with my partner was the icing on the cake for me.

What time of the year do you prefer watching the sunrise?

You know somewhere I only visited once this year was the Lake District... yet this National Park has some amazing landscapes, views & the wainwrights are just pure eye candy.

To think i've only done a handful of hikes up here, i really haven't seen much of the Lake District so it's a must in 2026 that I cover more of its landscapes & summit more of its mountains.

I think over the past two years i've pretty much concentrated all my energy on completing the Peak District & I can pretty much say i've done that minus Reynards cave & Solomons Temple.

So come next year i'm going to be enjoying our national trust membership, getting up to Lakeland, seeing more of Wales & not forgetting the Yorkshire Dales which is on my doorstep now, so that is mine & my partners goals for the upcoming year, oh & hopfully doing my usual annual Scotland visit which is a must.

Photograph taken up in the Lake District March 2025.

This was a treat finally getting to visit Robin Hoods Cave which had eluded me for quite some time, numerous times i'd of wanted to drop down from Stanage Edge & to have finally ticked this great vantage point off in the peaks was another sweet positive to 2025.

Have you had the oppurtunity of visiting this locale within the Peak District National Park?

If so what are your thoughts?

Another throwback from this year which hasn't been topped at all & I still speak about up to today was taking a week out of my year to head up to Scotland & take on the magnificent north coast 500, 500 miles of pure satisfaction from munros, lochs, coastal villages, golden sanded beaches, coves, caves & of course deep rooted history.

Is 1 week enough to see everything & do everything definitely a big no hence why this is one ill be doing for many years to come, I can certainly say there wasn't a dull moment & yet again the memories i've created along side my beautiful partner i will cherish until my last breath.

So get up to Scotland enjoy the culture, enjoy the spectacular sights but please remember respect the lands, leave no trace and do your best to share awareness when it comes to respecting people's homestead & nature as a whole.

Meeting followers along my content creating & hiking journey has been a right pleasure this year & not forgetting the year before it really has been a highlight for myself, i'm looking forward to meeting more of you in the new year...

Just doing something you enjoy can align you with other folk and the memories you make along the way are definitely ones to take to the grave, the stories, the small talk, the sharing in the outdoors and just passing on knowledge & sharing a common love for hiking is always top stuff & 100% great for ones mental health.

So a huge thank you to each & everyone of you who follows me, supports me & to those who have been here from day one & to those who are new i appreciate all of you, another thank you for all the love & support!
