A statement from us:

The recent ruling by the UK Supreme Court has determined that, within the legal context, the term "woman" exclusively pertains to cisgender women and does not encompass transgender women or femme nonbinary individuals. This decision results in the exclusion of these individuals from single-sex spaces and services, raising significant questions regarding the future protections afforded to transgender people. This ruling represents a considerable setback for transgender women and the broader transgender community, a population already facing significant prejudice and hardship.

As a transgender man, I express my profound disappointment with this decision and my concern regarding its potential future implications, both for transgender women and the wider transgender community. It is now imperative for those in positions of influence to advocate for and support our community.

This weekend, 50% of all profits generated today will be donated to Gendered Intelligence, a trans-led charity committed to enhancing the lives of transgender individuals in the UK. Their work includes providing direct support to transgender people, delivering educational programs to workplaces and schools, and influencing legislation, media discourse, policy, and research at a national level.

Furthermore, 100% of all donations received through our tip jar, which will be available at our table, will also be contributed to Gendered Intelligence. The tip jar will remain a permanent fixture at our table moving forward.
