📣 TEAM OF THE MONTH (AUGUST) 📣

🐻 There was a podcast first for our Team of the Month for August as the winner was decided despite suffering a home defeat during the month. It was a warm congratulations to Redcar Bears Speedway who have started to hit top form ahead of a crunch end of season push for titles.

➡️ It was a turbulent beginning of the month for the Bears as they initially went down by 6 at home to Glasgow Tigers but it was what happened after this that warranted them this award for August. Tails were lifted, and confidence restored, as they travelled to Oxford Cheetahs and won by 8, restoring their own push for a play off place. Leon Flint, guesting for Erik Riss, went unbeaten on route to this victory.

🏁 Two days later and back to winning ways at home with a 4 point victory over a rejuvenated Berwick Bandits. It was a final heat advantage from the reliable Charles Wright Racing and Danny King which ensured victory. The following week, another home win, and much more emphatic as they overcame Plymouth Gladiators. The following night, they travelled down to Plymouth and secured a 2 point victory to take all 3 points. It was guest Lewis Kerr and Jake Mulford racing #72 who made sure it didn't go to a last heat decider.

👉 It was then another 5 points from a possible 5 the following week as they beat Scunthorpe Scorpions home and away. A month which saw them take 15 out of 19 points, and ensure they extended the season into the Play Offs. The Bears now have the opportunity for a treble as they reach the latter stages of all 3 competitions.

👍 Congratulations go to the Bears who have finished strongly, despite the loss of the integral Erik Riss, and will be looking to finish the season with a bang and add the Championship, KO Cup and BSN Series to the Pairs they already have on display.

🔈 Round The Boards Season 4 Episode 31: SGP, SGP2 + SGP4 Vojens Reviews + SEC Round 4 Preview 🔈

🎉 It was the finish that everybody wanted for the 2025 SGP season as the title went right down to the last heat of the last meeting and it was Bartosz Zmarzlik #95 who claimed title number 6 by the barest of margins as Brady Kurtz Racing did all he could by taking his 5th win in a row.

👀 Wiktor Przyjemski #505 tried in vein to make an early return from injury to defend his SGP2 title, but it was ultimately too much as Nazar Parnitskiy took the title in Vojens with a faultless performance. It was also a weekend to remember for Tino Stjernegaard Olsen who took the SGP4 event, an event now recognised by the FIM as a World Championship.

👑 Ipswich Witches made their way into the Premiership Play off Final with victory over Belle Vue Speedway, and this week we look ahead to the other Semi Final as Leicester Lions Speedway take on Sheffield Speedway. We preview the final round of the Tauron Speedway Euro Championship from Pardubice as we find out who will be rider number 12 for the Grand Prix Series in 2026.

👉 We bring you all of the results and fixtures from the sport of the past week, as well as the latest news as we approach the final stages of another Speedway season. Rob takes on Cain in another quiz as he looks to get himself back on track and secure the title again. All of this plus much more in a show not to be missed. All views are our own. 👊

🗳 RIDER OF THE WEEK RESULTS 🗳

🏆 Our latest result for Rider of the Week is in and for this we looked back at the fixtures which took place between Monday 4th August - Sunday 10th August, and it was a win for Richard Lawson who picked up a richly deserved award with 56.34% of the votes.

🌟 Richard has really started to fire and he was instrumental in the King's Lynn Stars win at Birmingham Brummies, scoring 10+3/5. He then scored a full 15 point maximum as Poole Pirates Speedway saw of Oxford Cheetahs in the BSN Series. He finished with 12/5 as the Stars saw off Birmingham Brummies, in what almost certainly would have been another full maximum had it not been for a start line machine failure.

🇩🇰 2nd place went to Peter Kildemand who has being enjoying his stint at reserve with the Oxford Speedway Spires and earned 9+3/6 as they went down by 10 at Leicester Lions. He then thundered in 14/7 as again the Spires went down to defeat by 3 at home to Sheffield Tigers. He registered 29.11% of the votes.

☠ 3rd place went to Lewis Kerr Racing who has had a quiet spell with only one current league but he has excelled in some guest bookings this week. He started with former club, King's Lynn Stars, as they won away at Birmingham Brummies, with his 14+2/6 being a major factor. He was then back with his current Poole Pirates as they toppled Oxford Cheetahs to take control of the BSN Series Semi Final with 7+1/4. He then finished, again guesting for a former club in Redcar Bears as they won away by 2 at Plymouth Gladiators with Lewi scoring 10/5. He got 14.55% of the votes.

🗣 Congratulations go to Richard for a deserving victory given the form he has been showing in the previous few weeks.
