A great opportunity for a sailing Mate!

📣SAILING MATES📣

Abeam crew are recruiting for a first mate for a 30m sailing yacht. This yacht is a high preformance design and requires someone with a high level of awareness, especially when sailing. This yacht will only consider candidates with more than 1.5 years of experience on 30m+ Sailing yachts with a preference toward high-performance carbon boats.

This position requires good time management, an eye for details and a strong knowledge of deck maitenance.

Specifications
Qualifications: Yacht Master Offshore or Coastal
Candidate: Open to Male and Female Candidates
Start date : ASAP

The following would be highly beneficial but not required:
•High-performance carbon sailing yacht experience
•Racing experience
•Large high-load winch experience
•Working towards OOW, which will be encouraged
•Engineering Knowledge or qualifications

The boat will, in return, offer the following:
Salary negotiable DOE
45 Days leave
Drive time
A high level of independence and responsibility if desired.

Experienced Deckhand Position ⛵

A 45m private performance cruising sailing yacht is seeking an Experienced Deckhand dedicated to a long-term yachting career, with a minimum of one full season on similar vessels. Given the size and scope of the yacht’s program, this role suits a proactive team player who can confidently undertake Bosun-level duties as required and demonstrates strong technical awareness.

The ideal candidate will have organised logistical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and be familiar with PMS platforms such as IDEA. The ability to work independently, take initiative, and consistently uphold high standards without supervision is essential.

Our crew embraces a healthy, active lifestyle, fostering a positive team spirit and supporting each other’s wellbeing both on and off the yacht. We enjoy socializing through shared interests like kitesurfing, fishing, dinghy sailing, and fitness. We are committed to professional excellence and healthy habits, so candidates seeking a lively party environment may find this is not the right fit.

Abeam crew are recruiting a Solo Engineer for a 30m Performance Cruising Yacht❗

This yacht runs with four crew; this position is ideal for a young engineer who is happy to learn a new system that is complex.

A strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems preferred.
The yacht will spend the winter in the Med, so it provides time to learn onboard systems well before the sailing season.

Specifics;
KW- under 350
Qualifications: Minimum AEC 1 & 2
Start date: 1/10/2025
Itinerary: Med for the winter
Package: Salary & Leave DOE.

A candidate with a strong sailing background and engineering experience on a similar size yacht would be preferred.
