Your book cover has a BIG job to do. It needs to set the tone of your story, spark curiosity and help your book stand out against competitors whilst simultaneously letting readers know what genre it is, who might benefit from reading it and most importantly, why they should be paying good money for it.

It isn’t just about looking good, it’s about getting sales and following through on the promise you are making to your customers.

A GREAT children’s book cover gives just enough away to invite people in and give them the essential information they need to know without bombarding them.

Our book illustrations start life as rough scribbles, but sometimes the process is a lot more complicated than people realise!

This is the first sketch of several stages and is complex enough for each ‘scene’ to be divided by colour so our artist Izzy can plan the layout and movement until eventually combining them all into the final picture that has depth, atmosphere and a bit of magic thanks to all those hours of sketching✨✨
