🚨 Another Dover landmark disappearing…

Santander in Dover is closing its doors. It’s even in the lyrics of “The Box” from DJ Dovah’s *Dover Nights:
“It’s just there by Santander…” 🎶

Santander might be going, but the box, and the alley, will still be there. Just maybe a little darker without the glow from the bank lights.

Sad to see these places vanish, but at least they’ll live on in the music. 💔🎵

So picture this, first night setting up for an exercise class in Lydden, doors open fine, but then the alarm goes off.

Next thing you know, the police show up wondering what the hell we’re doing there 😂.

Honestly felt like the whole night needed a soundtrack… and guess what, it already had one.

‘Not Like That (Lydden Clubber Banger)’ suddenly made way too much sense. 🚨🎶

They call it breaking and entering, I call it DJ Dovah’s BIG BREAK. 🔥

Not Like That (Lydden Clubber Banger) new single on the way to all major platforms 🎧💪

Originally created for a high energy fitness class in Lydden and not even as part of the DJ Dovah project, this track is pure defiance, wrapped in pounding beats and neon sweat.
Think stomp, jump, shout, repeat, with just enough attitude to keep you moving 🕺💥

It ended up sounding completely different from the original vision, but it had such a unique energy that I didn’t want to steer it in another direction. And honestly, it felt so DJ Dovah that it made sense to bring it into the world of the project, much like many of the other surprise releases under the Dovah name.

It’s bold, it’s fast, it probably shouldn’t exist… but now it does.

🎧 Local to Dover and curious about joining DJ Dovah? 🎧

We’re starting to do the rounds on radio and getting interest for live shows, including someone in London keen to help us bring The Duchess Re-Mix to the stage. Dover would likely be the first stop… now we just need to get an act together.

This is an open call for creative collaborators, whether you’re a performer, character actor, or just someone with bold energy and a love of music. If you like wearing neon and think rehearsing in public loos sounds like a laugh, you might just be the perfect fit. But even if that’s not your vibe, don’t be put off, all kinds of energy and ideas are welcome.

I’m looking for two people to join DJ Dovah, taking on the roles of J & J, the karaoke duo from the latest concept album. You wouldn’t just be backing dancers or playing parts, you’d become part of DJ Dovah. In essence, this is the start of forming a band.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve got loads of experience or none at all. As long as you’re based in or around Dover, meet the age requirements, and are up for something fun and ambitious, I’d love to hear from you.
