In the first two episodes, the person behind the camera was asking the questions.
This time, they’re in front of it.

After reaching out to DJ Dovah, they actually get a response.

Spoiler alert for this episode (and the ones that follow):
they’re offered a role in the upcoming music video “Banned from the Duchess.”

There is, of course, a condition - they have to request a song at The Duchess first.

You can probably see where this is heading.

Before any music video is released, though, expect a few more videos first, as he starts trying to recruit others for the music video.

Here’s a shorter outtake clip from Not Like That (Lydden Clubber Banger)!

This part didn’t make it into the final cut because the choreography wasn’t 100% accurate to how it’s normally done in an exercise class, though it’s still pretty close.

The kicks in the introduction (from the longer version) aren’t really part of the usual routine either, but they were fun to try and added a bit of extra energy.

This ended up being the first ever DJ Dovah music video, even though it’s under a minute and uses a slightly different version of the track than the one released on platforms.

The intention was always to make the debut video for one of the earliest DJ Dovah tracks and that’s still the plan, hopefully by next year.

On the subject of cardio-themed songs, the cardio album was actually released by mistake and wasn’t meant to be part of the DJ Dovah plan at all and this later single wasn’t written for the project either. But because that accidental album already existed under the name, and this single had more of a DJ vibe to it, both factors ticked the boxes for releasing it as a DJ Dovah track. So while it isn’t the classic Dovah style, it still naturally found its place in the universe.

Although DJ Dovah was about to become a band, that hasn’t happened yet, so I’ve decided to pursue a new album that goes back to its roots, which is closer to 'Dover Nights'.

Here’s a sneak preview of what’s to come, with this opening track.

All being well, this will debut in full at The Duchess this Friday,
that’s if Justin plays the whole thing (it’s over 5 minutes!).

🚨 Another Dover landmark disappearing…

Santander in Dover is closing its doors. It’s even in the lyrics of “The Box” from DJ Dovah’s *Dover Nights:
“It’s just there by Santander…” 🎶

Santander might be going, but the box, and the alley, will still be there. Just maybe a little darker without the glow from the bank lights.

Sad to see these places vanish, but at least they’ll live on in the music. 💔🎵

So picture this, first night setting up for an exercise class in Lydden, doors open fine, but then the alarm goes off.

Next thing you know, the police show up wondering what the hell we’re doing there 😂.

Honestly felt like the whole night needed a soundtrack… and guess what, it already had one.

‘Not Like That (Lydden Clubber Banger)’ suddenly made way too much sense. 🚨🎶

They call it breaking and entering, I call it DJ Dovah’s BIG BREAK. 🔥
