First Investigation — Gloucester Prison This Saturday Night!

This weekend, I’ll be stepping behind the bars of one of the UK’s most haunted locations — Gloucester Prison — for the very first time!

🏰 A Prison With a Dark Past

Built in 1792 on the remains of the old Gloucester Castle, this formidable site was home to centuries of punishment, suffering, and loss. More than 120 ex*****ons took place within its walls, including the infamous Major Herbert Rowse Armstrong, known as “The Hay Poisoner.”

The prison finally closed its doors in 2013, but countless people claim its spirits never left...

👻 Paranormal Encounters Reported

Over the years, investigators and visitors have experienced:

Shadow figures roaming the cell blocks

Footsteps, whistling, and voices echoing through the corridors

Cold spots and a sense of being watched

Objects moving on their own

Activity focused around the ex*****on area and A-Wing cells

🔦 My Investigation Setup

I’ll be bringing along:

My brand new REM Pod

Cat balls for motion detection

A Spirit Box for real-time communication

Night vision camera for full coverage in the dark

Voice recorder to capture EVP evidence

Every sound, flicker, and unexplained whisper will be documented as I explore this incredible location for the very first time.

While doing a night vigil in the woods at Goblin combe, a fellow investigator Sophie Louise (of Dark Shadows Paranormal UK) caught this fantastic evp during a spirit box session.



This evp doesn't seem to come from the spirit box, and wasn't heard in the moment. Nobody else in the group said anything during the session.
