🌙 This week, Shaun takes us on a journey into the shadowy world of Darkwave. At its core, Darkwave is music of tension and atmosphere. Expect brooding basslines, reverb laden drums, icy synth melodies, haunting vocals, and echoes of both Goth and New Wave influences. A genre built on atmosphere, tension, and emotion - let yourself be drawn into its intimate nocturnal landscape.

🎉 What a fantastic day yesterday celebrating Canvas' 1st Birthday! ☀️🎶

Brian and Neil had a ball playing alongside a great lineup of DJs, helping to soundtrack an amazing day in the sunshine. The vibe was incredible, the music was top-notch, and the street food was absolutely fabulous! 😋🍣🥡🎵

A huge thank you to the squad of our Tuesday regulars who came along to support us – it was great to see so many familiar faces! ❤️🦆

We're delighted to be back at Canvas next Saturday, hosting Open Decks from 12 noon–7:30pm as part of the daytime celebrations for the FREE Land O'Spex Summer Party 👓☀️🍻. We'd love to see you there!

🦆 THE FUNKY GUNNERS HOST "OPEN DECKS" AT THE CANVAS BACKYARD BBQ 🦆

We're delighted to be providing the soundtrack for the daytime portion of the FREE Land O'Spex Summer Party at CANVAS on Saturday 27th June.

From 12pm until 7:30pm we'll be doing what we do best... sharing great music with great people.

If you've never been to one of our Open Decks sessions before, here's how it works:

📀 Bring records you love
🦆 Get yourself a rubber duck (we have a healthy selection to choose from) and put it in the queue
🎶 When it's your turn, you get to choose the next track

That's it.

Want to put the record on yourself? We'll show you how.

Already comfortable using turntables? Crack on.

Don't fancy touching the decks? Just hand us your record and tell us what track you'd like played.

The idea isn't to play a set or show off your DJ skills. It's about sharing music, discovering records, and hearing the stories behind the tunes people bring along.

Whether you've got a rare groove, a guilty pleasure, a stone-cold classic or something completely unexpected, we want to hear it.

Delighted to have been asked to join the CANVAS birthday party this Saturday!

Brian and Neil will be spinning outside at 2pm before and after some of our favourite DJs and selectors.

We're in full swing with another busy night with lots of ducks in the queue for open decks at The Gunners Bar!

We love it when new folk bring records along.

Tonight, we are joined by Gordon and Lewis both making their debuts!

Gordon's choices include "The Stud" by The Biddu Orchestra from the OST. Lewis is armed with records including this awesome Rock comp (check out that cover!) his picks included Santana's version of "Black Magic Woman".
