To welcome in 2026 this issue has a range of subjects and kits, some of which you will notice are a little different. The CaDa range of models is wide and diverse and with prices starting at around £5 to £10 offer an economical way to exercise the change is as good as a rest' maxim that we all need from time to time, as well as a potentially good way to encourage youngsters into the world of construction kits.
And for those who woodn't (I haven't given up puns for January you'll be relieved to know) mind a mix of traditional and modern, then EWA's laser-cut wooden truck kit offers another avenue for creativity too. Back in the realm of plastic, we have a winter feast of offerings. Bill Horton's Corvette will get you going, while Eric Fontien's Pegaso is a classic bit of truck conversion, and uses scratch-built elements as well as 3D printed parts to excellent effect. Meanwhile Ilya Yut dusts off his finishing skills with a fetching Belkit's Citröen C3 and Kees Kamp returns with another of his utterly beautiful retro trucks that are always a pleasure to see, and demonstrate plastic modelling at its finest. If you ever wondered why there's a dearth of modern Fl kits around today, Trevor Pask explains while recreating the 2009/10 season McLaren MP4-25. Huw Morgan assesses Italeris new Lancia Fulvia (with a full build to follow) and builds ICM's Renault ANHtruck, which is so French it should have a string of onions around it! René Van De Hart is next, offering a king-size build of Hasegawa's 1/12 Honda NCR500, which won't be a drag to read. Then Manu Gill shows you how to finish your Mazda MX-5 in scale perfection. Nick Allen goes to town on a 1941 Ford pickup - which has only slightly less wear than your editor's car Showing that a photo can provide the inspiration for many happy hours of creatively destructive modelling Steven Downs detailed diecast reviews follow, and Bill Horton returns to round off this issue in style with a superb Suzuki ECSTAR, offering tips on bike modelling that will be equally applicable to anyone wanting to get to grips with any two-wheeled modelling project. So there's something for everyone
