I do not like sectionalism; ideologies based on interests that isolates a group from the whole. Dividing people into oppositions and creating different ideological blocs in society. This prohibits cohesion and breeds animosities between different groups which creates perpetual tensions in societies.

Life is unpredictable.

I have seen people excel with minimal effort where others have toiled for years with little or no result to show.

I have seen very bad things happen to good people, while bad people flourish in their dealings.

Also, I have found that karma is not real, people that hurt others can go on to lead a successful and fulfilling life.

These life patterns have made me a firm believer in predestination. There are no coincidences in life, we will become what we have been predestined to be regardless of our personal ambition.

This brings me to my favourite quote about life, culled from a song by the late American singer, Doris Day, - “Que sera, sera (whatever will be, will be)”
