So finally took the kayak out this morning
With a few friends

Headed to seaford at 5am and launched around 6am after set up ect

The launch went well and we paddled towards the reefs down to cuckmere

Had a huge seal pop up about a paddles length from my kayak and scared the 💩 out of me 😂

There was lots of stringy w**d in places and no sign of mackerel what so ever

Tried trolling lures behind

Casting soft plastics and metals

And also baiting mackerel feathers and dropping them down with a slow jig in deeper water

Between 3 of us nothing

But was ace to get out and test all the gear non the less

The landing back went smoothly considering the beach was heaving with ppl

Spoke to a few on the beach and no joy there also

The last few months have been very challanging for myself

Fishing has been hard and the times i could get out have been quick fire sessions!

The amount of eels this year is nuts maby they are becoming the new dogfish

Mackeral and bass on lures have been non existant

Youtube is a funny place

Its taught me to toughen up and not take peoples opinions to heart if anything it makes me chuckle at how some people get kicks of trying to put others down, but hay thats life and some people get there kicks from it and there not much you can do.

If that chap in the first comment watched the video he would have seen me land my biggest bass to date on lure around 60cm
If i remember rightly!

Its also made me realise that joe bloggs sat behind the computer claiming to have a phd in nuclear science and knowing everything is probably some sad person dealing with there own emotional insecurities.

If anything its taught me to not really care about what others think of you and just do what makes you happy!

On the flip side you do get some ace messages from people who have learnt or you have been able to show something of use to so which is ace.

So my thought of the day is

Dont care what people think of you as its only an opinion and just do you and what makes you happy 👍😜

A recent fishing session to horam manor fishery saw me fishing the small lake using method feeders.

All in all a good days fishing with multiple fish landed and good company.
