Ok, so I’m battling with the idea of AI and video generation and the impact it’s going to have on my industry. For another project I found myself recreating a scene with King James IV of Scotland with an AI generator, I feel like I’ve slipped into the darkside and may not be able to come back. It’s done the job in incredible detail, without the need for a large budget - that for this project I wouldn’t have had anyway. This technology means I can visualise history in ways that was previously unimaginable.

Personally it’s got its place but there will still be a drive for authenticity and live unique performances.

What are your thoughts on using AI for such creative endeavours?

Death of traditional filmmaking?... a useful new tool?... Pandora’s box is open and we can’t close it, but can we limit it?
