Hello, it's Adam, host of the Uk True Crime Podcast. Can you help me please?

You may have listened to the True Crime Round-Up with me and Stuart (British Murders) these last few months (here we are with two of my other favourite people in podcasting front to back - Stuart, Naomi from Real, me and Mark from Seeing Red) at the excellent CrimeCon Manchester last month - just at the stage before it all got a bit messy....

The feedback on the True Crime Round-Up has been very good so we have been working to develop a whole new show based on what we have been doing there - don't worry, it won't affect my current show in any way, that keeps the same format and is released every Tuesday as usual. But I would love your thoughts on a few things by filling in this brief survey if you wouldn't mind, so we can shape the show to reflect what you want to hear.

Hello, it's Adam, the host of the UK True Crime Podcast. On the episode this week...

The pub in the picture is the very last place in Bognor Regis where Karen Heywood was seen alive.

For Karen, following her divorce, it was supposed to be time for a fresh start with a move to Bognor on the south coast of England.

But weeks later, 35 year old Karen's body was discovered not far from Arundel in undergrowth.

Just who had killed Karen and why?

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast.

Welcome to episode nine of my monthly chats with Stuart, host of the British Murders Podcast.

As usual, we look at crime stories that made headlines in September 2025, covering local, national, and international headlines.

This month, for the third consecutive month, Stuart decided not to choose a story related to a shark, whale or any other creature which lives in the sea, which was nice if unusual.

Join us as we dive into these extraordinary stories in the September 2025 edition of the True Crime Round-Up:

- Woman threatened to expose her ex's "wee chipolata" online;
- Man charged with murder after Leeds attack as victim named;
- Meat smuggling crisis risks major disease outbreak in UK;
- Man jailed for life after birthday celebrations lead to Salford murder;
- FBI 'most wanted' man captured in North Wales facing 90 years in the slammer;
- The Contraband Chronicles: 71-year-old tried to smuggle £640k worth of co***ne into UK in mobility scooter;
- Influencer Lola Doll shot in Guyana;
Six killed in rush hour bus shooting in Jerusalem;
- Thief arrested because he forgot to log off Facebook after burglarising a home;
- 'Dumb' criminals attempt robbery with permanent marker pen disguises;
- Man arrested for allegedly living in crawl space of Oregon housing complex.

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast. In the episode this week...

We all know the quote, "If you can be one thing, be kind."

Edna Slater was a kind woman. She wasn't wealthy, but she did all she could to help people in her community in Leeds who were down on their luck, by lending money or allowing them to do odd jobs in her home for cash.

But Edna paid the most terrible price for this kindness. Murdered in her own home (pictured).

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast. In the episode this week...

In Greenock (pictured), west of Glasgow, the two flatmates had been taking part in something of a drinking session and had for many hours been putting the world to rights over multiple drinks – as you do.

Soon six bottles of super strength wine and cider had been consumed and this ensured the pair were more than just a little inebriated.

Then, in a drunken haze, Allan Napier suddenly asked housemate John: "Can you keep a secret?" And what happened next would change both their lives forever...

He was the very embodiment of the flash City trader – a self-made millionaire who rode the wave of the 1980s big bang to become a financial player famed for throwing lavish parties attended by celebrities and leading business figures.

But a major gambling problem resulted in him committing a huge fraud with eye-watering numbers.
