Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast. This week...

The Ultimate Traitor explores the chilling true story of Robert Hendy-Freegard — the conman who posed as an MI5 agent and manipulated his victims through fear, loyalty and lies. A real-life game of trust and betrayal that echoes The Traitors, this episode examines how deception became a weapon — and how ordinary people were drawn into his control, with so many lives destroyed.

In the end he was just a Traitor, playing a game that nobody agreed to play.

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast.

I have released 475 totally free episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast in the last nine years. Once a month, I produce an exclusive episode for my supporters at Patreon, whose support keeps me producing weekly content - for which I am incredibly grateful.

This month, the story looks at the terrible actions of the man pictured, Andrew Affleck. Due to a variety of issues he perceived he was facing, he took the decision to set fire to a flat in his block at 3am, killing a woman and two children in the fire - three others were fortunate to escpae with their lives. It was a dreadful crime.

Join us today at Patreon, by clicking the link below, to listen to this story and all 100 full-length bonus episodes - and help me keep prodcuing free content.

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast - the UK's 37th most popular true crime podcast (aiming for the dizzy heights of 36 next year).

This week’s story centres on a huge seizure of he**in and co***ne linked to a gang operating across the north-west of England and rural north Wales.

What struck me most, though, is how little drama there is. No flashy lifestyles, no shoot-outs, no high-octane television crime narrative. Just four men quietly going about their business, staying under the radar, making money for themselves — and leaving untold misery in the communities where we all live.

And depending on where you stand on the so-called ‘War on Drugs’, this case is either hugely significant… or it doesn’t really matter at all.

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast.

Yesterday, I released a new episode of the podcast which is just me answering many of the questions I have often been asked after nine years of the UK True Crime Podcast. These include:

- What prompted your interest in true crime?
- Do you really dislike the Kings of Leon so much?
- Has your podcast got you into trouble in the past?
- You aren't from Leeds. Why do you support the Mighty Leeds United?
- Which of the cases you have covered have affected you the most?

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast.

The life of Abdul Hadi Arwani (pictured) ended in a sudden burst of violence that left a community reeling and a trail of unanswered questions.

This episode examines the time before his murder, the brutal reality of what happened, and the consequences that continue to echo long after his death.

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast. On the episode this week from the south-west of England....

It was the usual bus to college in Plymouth that 18 year old Alicia Eborne (pictured) had caught so many times before.

But this time, she had not made it to college or even been seen since leaving home as usual that morning - had she even made it to the bus?

But one person knew exactly what had happened to Alicia. A man trusted by so many, but a man capable of a terrible murder...

Hello, it's Adam, host of the UK True Crime Podcast. This week, the episode comes from Lichfield in Staffordshire (pictured).

It was such a minor event to happen, totally irrelevant in the scheme of things.

But 26 year old Robert Thacker was believed to have been responsible, so his so-called friend decided he should be taught a lesson, and what he decided to do, is the stuff of our worst nightmares.
