The Punjab Government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched an aggressive Smog Control Plan 2025 to tackle rising air pollution across the province. The plan enforces strict monitoring of industrial waste, vehicle emissions, and stubble burning, while awareness campaigns are starting in schools to educate youth on environmental safety.
Special monitoring teams are being deployed across major cities, and tree-plantation drives are being expanded to restore green cover. The Punjab administration will also utilize modern air-quality sensors and digital monitoring systems to ensure cleaner, safer air for citizens.
